About me
No stranger to struggle and loss, Debbie Young grew up on welfare and food stamps. At 12 years old, her mom died of lung cancer, she suffered emotional and physical abuse from her father, and she began battling an eating disorder. Determined to create a better life for herself, however, she put herself through college by working 80-hour weeks.
She built a “successful” career as a beloved middle school Spanish teacher, bought her own home at 25, and married the man of her dreams at 28. She had MADE IT! At least by all external appearances.
Despite the success, her heart was shattered.
