Two Spirit Healing Center
I help patients that want to address a true healing process. I work "with" you and for you to help you design the best plan for you to reclaim your health. It is work! But you are worth it!
Having grown up in rural Alabama with a strong curiosity, I always wanted to learn all that I could about everything. When I began serving my community as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, Alabama for 10 years I discovered that teaching others what I had learned was something that brought me great fulfillment. I went on to obtain training to be a Licensed Massage Therapist to enable me to bring touch back to my patients. Serving my community through both roles still was not enough and I knew I needed more knowledge to serve the most at my best. I began looking at becoming a physician while knowing conventional medicine was not my calling. A friend introduced the idea of Naturopathic medicine and I was hooked. After 22 years of continuous education, I graduated from Natural University of Natural Medicine (formerly NCNM). While at NUNM, I completed training in Gastroenterology with focus on Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) patients for a full year, I also worked on a cardiopulmonary rotation for 6 months within 2 full years of clinical training. I worked with physicians that integrate essential oils into their practice to learn how to use this form of plant medicine into my treatment plans. I have a passion for energetic bodywork as I know the healing power in connecting our body, mind and spirit.
After an illness of my own during medical school, I now specialize in Epstein Barr virus, Autoimmune disorders, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Adrenal fatigue, Thyroid dysfunction, SIBO, Hiatal hernia syndrome and now I am taking Lyme disease patients. My favorite patient is the one who has not gotten the answers they are searching for or the treatments used is not creating the positive change in their life they desired, and they are ready to reclaim their own health. I love to work with the patient to design a treatment plan that suits your life and is supportive so that you may maintain the changes. I am not a Primary Care Physician and want my patients to have their own PCP as I want to be the support and educator you have been looking for to reclaim your health and walk with you through this journey towards wellness.
I enjoy using essential oils in my practice and love teaching others to use them in their daily life. I utilize energetic bodywork, homeopathy, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, herbal medicine and the traditional healing modalities of naturopathic medicine –Hydrotherapy. My favorite is Constitutional Hydrotherapy which is a treatment that improves circulation of blood and lymph, helps return us to the parasympathetic nervous system and supports the immune system.
In addition, I offer Introduction to Essential Oil classes regularly online and welcome you to join us!
Wanting to find a way that would allow me to serve the most, give back.
Feeling heard and for once knowing someone believes in them and provides hope.
Have you ever wanted a doctor who would help you figure out what was actually wrong instead of prescribing a medication? That is what I do. I listen to your story and help by first investigating to identify the underlying cause of your struggles. With lab results and your symptoms a picture can be created that reflects the cause behind your symptoms. Then we start addressing the symptoms and create changes that work in your life to bring about positive results in the long run.
