About me

My name is Emily! I have a background in psychology, midwifery, and neuro-developmental delay. I believe that there is a reasonable explanation for why most children struggle. I also believe that by looking at how a child's brain and body are functioning we can figure out the root cause of a lot of common childhood problems.

My Philosophy of Care

When I was a teenager I got to witness my cousin go through Neuro-Developmental Delay (NDD) Therapy with an NDD therapist here in Colorado. His family spent years trying everything they could to get him help, and NDD therapy was the only thing that made a difference. I got to witness a huge change in him and I knew from a young age that I wanted to be able to offer other kids and families the same thing.

My Inspiration

Most people haven't heard of NDD therapy. It is fairly new particularly in the U.S. but it is a really amazing effective program. Complications and certain things that happen during pregnancy, birth, and early infancy can prevent the brain and certain body systems from developing and functioning properly. Often times, when older children struggle with emotion regulation, attention, social skills, academic performance, (just to name a few things) it is because their brains and bodies are not providing them with the information and support they need to function properly. NDD Therapy targets those systems and helps give children the physical and physiological support they need to thrive.
