I have been interested in the human body and health, wellness, and performance for as long as I can remember. First, of course, personally to be the best, healthiest, fittest, most capable person I could be and then later, when I decided to go into health care as a profession, as a way to share the results of my research and personal experimentation with others. I have also been fascinated with all kinds of movement for most of my life and have been an avid hiker and backpacker, have been practicing one form of martial arts or another for almost 40 years and also spent 5 super fun years studying and practicing Parkour from age 50 - 55. I have been deeply immersed in personal growth work for 30 years now and have taught many seminars and events up and down the west coast of the U.S. and halfway across Canada. Ultimately I am interested in any and all things that can help a person - of any age - be the best version of themselves they can be. I know that "health" is about how we function across a wide range of "spaces" including, nutrition, movement or exercise, sleep, rest and mediation, positive mental attitude and a good social network of family, friends and community. All these different things may be addressed in my office - guided by the client's own interests, not by what I think they should do or be interested in. I never stop looking to improve myself and my offering, to go ever deeper into what is possible for us as humans, and to make sure that it is always as fun as possible and available in small, "bite-sized" portions so we can keep improving without being overwhelmed.
I have always been interested in the body, in sports and performance and in what health and wellness were and were not. I personally have been on a many decades long path to be the best I can be and I continue to love researching and self-experimenting with all kinds of things to help this in my own life and then sharing it with the people I see and work with. Our bodies are capable of being way healthier, energetic and powerful then we experience and then we are told they can be. I am here to give people more hope, more concrete approaches, and more coaching as to how they can achieve their health, wellness, function and performance goals.
A thorough and complete evaluation in non-rushed fashion that looks into all my current health issues and also what I want for my health and my life. He took the time to listen to me and then did an examination to get to the heart of what was going on.
Our brain is responsible for "making sense" of all the signals and information that are continually being fed to it from both the outside, via our 5 senses, and the inside of our bodies via the systems and nerves. Chiropractic care looks at the function of the nervous system and how to help the body handle all these different signals so that they can be better understood by the brain and then the brain can send better signals to the body so that all the cells, organs and systems of the body can work better. The result of this kind of care is new ability to be in balance and to adapt to the ever changing world around you resulting in better health, function and performance in all aspects of life.
