My journey to becoming a holistic nutritionist came out of my own personal health journey. I struggled with depression, anxiety, and eventually bipolar, for most of my life. It was at my rock bottom that I stumbled onto the power of food and its effect on the mood. After being on medication for over 20 years, using food and supplementation, I was able to get off all meds and am happy to say I haven't had a single bout of depression or anxiety in over 3 years. After going through this experience, I knew I had to get an education and get out there and share this powerful message with the world!
Our first session was 90 minutes and we really dug in and got a lot done. She talked to me about my health concerns and goals. We also talked about my history, what symptoms I’d been experiencing and for how long. She really wanted to understand what I’d been going through and figure out what the cause might be. By the end of our time together, we came up with a plan that felt really doable to me, like I could go home and get started right away. That was really important to her, she said if it doesn’t fit into my life, it won’t be doable or sustainable. I feel like I’m really going to be able to do this and can’t wait to see what happens.
Nutritional Therapy is not a quick fix, there is no magic pill. It does require commitment and perseverance. With that said, it can also be life changing. Because you are learning new healthy habits that will serve you for life, you'll walk away knowing more about your body and how it works, and with a toolbox full of tools to remain healthy for the long haul. I will be with you every step of the way, cheering you on!
