“I've been coming here for a couple of weeks with an old shoulder injury that's never gone away. I've worked with other physical therapists in the past, and even chiropractors, and no one was able to help beyond just throwing some ice on the area and doing basic stretches. Heather was able to figure out what was happening immediately and get to the root of it, and after only a few visits, my pain is completely gone. I can finally get back to my usual training in the gym, completely pain-free. I was blown away by the quality of their service, having been to many other PTs, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. This place is awesome!”
“Heather is an absolutely incredible PT. I have worked with several PT's over the last few years recovering from two major surgeries and no one even begins to compare to her in terms of knowledge, professionalism, availability, or overall care for the patient. I give Ascend Physical Therapy, and Heather in particular, my highest recommendation without any reservations.”

Learn More About Heather Felde

About me

I have been in Colorado since 2001 and love the variety of individuals I encounter as a physical therapist, and the access to the great outdoors. I was originally exposed to physical therapy as a patient in high school, but have always viewed the body as interconnected symptoms, and treatment of one should involve the others. This holistic approach has only been reinforced as I have progressed in my career. Manual therapy is a cornerstone of treatment in order to correct the source of the issue, and was a major focus of my continuing education since graduating. Proper retraining of how to integrate the area after release is essential, so I am a big believer in specific strengthening and exercise for longevity. In more recent years I have incorporated organ mobilization- sometimes for specific GI or scar tissue concerns as part of bigger picture health (often in collaboration with other treatment modalities and providers), or as a restriction and factor for an ailment such as back pain. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy most anything outside, especially running, mountain biking, climbing, and visiting with family.

My Philosophy of Care

To fill a void in the traditional approach to physical therapy, and include an intervention more specific to the person, address movement mechanics, facilitate activation of proper stability, as well as internal organ mobility, to optimize function and keep people doing the things they enjoy.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Educational, rejuvenating

My Inspiration

When is physical therapy appropriate? Whenever quality of life or activities have been diminished.
and
Injury prevention and addressing movement mechanics is easier than fixing a problem after it exists. Treat it early for an easier fix!
