I help people make amazing changes to their health through nutritional and lifestyle changes. I believe that each person has to find out which foods work best for their unique chemistry, and that ideal health is more than just changing your diet. Looking at emotional connections to food, areas that are out of balance in your life, and finding new solutions for dealing with stress, are just some of the puzzle pieces I look for when I help a client make lifestyle changes. I do not believe in dieting, and give my clients the tools they need to stay off the dieting yo-yo for good.
My philosophy of care is that we are all bio-individual, there is no one size fits all approach to diet and lifestyle. Your heritage, genetics, blood type, metabolism, etc. are all parts of the puzzle that make up your unique needs regarding nutrition, exercise, etc. I can help you find out what works best for you.
Our first visit is a complimentary consultation. We will spend 50 minutes discussing your health issues, goals, and exactly how I can help. We will make sure that your goals are within my scope of practice and you will be given multiple options for how we can work together that best fits your budget, goals and schedule.
In my 40's, I found myself with a newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetic daughter and my own diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer. I wanted to know why our bodies and immune systems had failed us. I became a wellness junkie with an insatiable appetite for information and soon found myself at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Now at 50, I am in the best health of my life.
