Reiki Coaching
I do a guided meditation to allow my clients to get an intention from their whole body. We spend a Couple of minutes processing and integrating the intention and what is happening in their life at the time. in order for them to get the most out of the session. I have my clients lye down on the Thai yoga mat with cushions of their choice to get comfortable. I will do 45 minutes of Reiki to release, integrate and bring them into a place of centering and peace. We will end the session with a few minutes of grounding. We spend about 5-8 minutes integrating the session by allowing them to process out loud. I will answer any questions that they have about what might have come through energetically for them. I encourage positive movement in their life in a mini homework assignment that will keep their progress for front in their life.

Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy sessions are about mind body connection and use assisted yoga poses and guided meditation to deeply unlock and heal traumas. Sessions begin with a brief verbal check in and a guided meditation/grounding exercise. Together we will set an intention coming from the core of your being. I will meet you wherever you are in the moment and guide you through a sequence of assisted yoga postures, breathing and meditative explorations that are carefully selected to take you deeper into your internal experience. I will invite you to explore the sensations, emotions, memories, or images that are present in your embodied experience of yourself. The insights that come through can assist you in creating a more fulfilling life. If the session incorporates touch, it will involve pressure to deepen poses, pulling to relieve tension, massage over clothing. Touch is intended to deepen an experience, not correct it, and touch is always optional. If doing a Distance Yoga Therapy session I will often have you touch yourself to emphasize a movement or area of the body. We also use props to get a deepened effect. Towards the end of the session, I will guide you through integration of those experiences and explore how you may bring your insights into action in your daily life. In comparison to private yoga sessions, yoga therapy is more about what’s going on in the whole mind/body and working it out through assisted yoga poses. These sessions can work through issues of depression, anxiety, addiction, and overall mental stability. They can be calming and flowing or work through issues of stuckness. All experiences are perfect and welcome.

About me

Jen believes deeply in emotional health and balance. That includes doing her own self sessions often and spending time grounding and meditating. She is creative, enjoys dance, hiking, cooking, spending time with friends and constant growth and learning. She adores getting to know and spend time in other cultures.

My Philosophy of Care

What inspired me was truly finding my gift and noticing how when I spent time every day using my own tools to stay healthy and what a difference it makes. Years ago, when I felt I could get away without my own practice I realized how significant it was to use what I teach daily. I would notice that my anger, distraughtness and sadness would come out to the world and myself much more. With the tools I have created and practiced those moments are minimal and I stay centered.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

My clients describe their first session with me as an evaluation of what their present life is as well as what they are looking to get out of things. While I work in meditation and movement I am describing what the session will look like. After which we are setting an intention from the deeper part of you. Depending on the clients bodywork experience and time spent in meditation we will jump right into allowing movement and release to shift their mental emotional perspective as well as open up space within from anything they are holding. We sum it up with a grounding experience.

My Inspiration

What I say to someone who has never tried Yoga Therapy is that it is for when you are ready to make big changes in your life. I assist people at working through trauma, anxiety and depression that can be deeply hidden within the body often masked as a stuck space in the body. Are you ready to notice who you are and become real with yourself? It is for people who are ready for being supported with big shifts in their life.
