Jen believes deeply in emotional health and balance. That includes doing her own self sessions often and spending time grounding and meditating. She is creative, enjoys dance, hiking, cooking, spending time with friends and constant growth and learning. She adores getting to know and spend time in other cultures.
What inspired me was truly finding my gift and noticing how when I spent time every day using my own tools to stay healthy and what a difference it makes. Years ago, when I felt I could get away without my own practice I realized how significant it was to use what I teach daily. I would notice that my anger, distraughtness and sadness would come out to the world and myself much more. With the tools I have created and practiced those moments are minimal and I stay centered.
My clients describe their first session with me as an evaluation of what their present life is as well as what they are looking to get out of things. While I work in meditation and movement I am describing what the session will look like. After which we are setting an intention from the deeper part of you. Depending on the clients bodywork experience and time spent in meditation we will jump right into allowing movement and release to shift their mental emotional perspective as well as open up space within from anything they are holding. We sum it up with a grounding experience.
What I say to someone who has never tried Yoga Therapy is that it is for when you are ready to make big changes in your life. I assist people at working through trauma, anxiety and depression that can be deeply hidden within the body often masked as a stuck space in the body. Are you ready to notice who you are and become real with yourself? It is for people who are ready for being supported with big shifts in their life.
