Julie has great positive energy! She helped my teen daughter understand how making lifestyle changes now will provide a path for future healthy living. Julie discussed balancing fitness with nutrition and provided many tools and resources.
I was referred to Julie after expressing concern to my friends about my teenage daughter's recent overall health and wellness, which has fallen off the tracks since being home for the past 9 months during the pandemic. Food choices were less than stellar and she mastered a new sedentary lifestyle on the couch, which has also impacted her overall attitude. Since everything I advise falls on deaf ears, I decided to hire Julie to try and get my daughter back on track since kids tend to listen to others far better than parents. Not only does Julie have the expertise in all areas of health and wellness, she also has amazing skills engaging and connecting with teens, as I saw with my daughter. Once the sessions concluded, my daughter has been incorporating a solid plan that Julie curated specifically for her based on the time spent with her. She's taking ownership of her renewed lifestyle biking and running with friends and making far healthier food choices while working on improved self-esteem/confidence. It's also great that she's positively impacting her friends with biking & running with her.... As a result, I've seen a huge difference in her overall attitude, which is far more positive around the house, which is a bonus for the whole household! She's now back on track and on a path to personal success. Could not have done it without Julie’s extensive knowledge, guidance and providing the tools she needs to be her best. Thank you, Julie!!!

About me

As a Certified Health Coach and Personal Trainer with a specialty in Youth Physical Activity, and most importantly a mom to two teen girls, I know that balance and wellness are possible for kids – with the right approach. I founded Rise Wellness Coaching to give teenagers information and inspiration tailored to this unique time in their lives.

My Philosophy of Care

I treat your family how I would want mine to be treated. I offer a thoughtful, loving, encouraging, and methodical (so, yes, there’s some discipline!) approach to helping teens acquire sustainable wellness habits. As a parent, you’ll be involved and aware of the program, your child’s progress, any concerns that come up, and opportunities that arise as we move them forward to a healthier life together.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Establishing a relationship of trust and rapport with my teen clients is of the upmost importance to me. Our first visit feels like sitting down with a trusted friend for a cup of coffee.

My Inspiration

As a trained professional with a degree in Child Development and a minor in Psychology, and a decade in the fitness industry as well as a mom of two teens, I offer an experienced and compassionate perspective in my coaching practice. I had my own journey to overcome health issues and find wellness. I now coach because that journey showed me what my true potential is and how good you can feel once you achieve it.
