About me

I work with people who are ready and desire to create positive change and are ready to shift from surviving to thriving. Imagine what your life will be like when you achieve your goals.

My background includes decades of coaching and training for positive results in the Air Force, Corporate, and Not for Profit organizations. It is my mission to serve those who desire to make positive changes in their personal and professional life. I have 500 hrs of specialized hypnosis training including Marissa Peer's Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT). I will serve you on your journey to heal, energize, and become aware of, and use your inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and co-creating a plan of action. Life can be challenging and hypnosis helps make navigating change easier.

My Philosophy of Care

Life experiences of trauma, including the death of my daughter by suicide, physical and emotional abuse, and more, followed by learning that I could move from surviving to thriving and find my a sense of wholeness.

Trance is natural, like when you lose track of the fact that you are watching a movie, reading a book or daydreaming. Those are forms of trance, and with hypnosis, we do it intentionally with a specific goal in mind.

Hypnotherapy is the process of using trance to resolve a problem or obstacle or to discover how to heal ones self. It uses trance, the bypassing of the critical mind. It is a very personal and individual experience. Most people experience relaxation in some form but it is not necessary to be relaxed nor is it necessary to close your eyes (though most people find it helpful to reduce visual stimulation). My clients have experienced a number of sensations: light, warm, cold, heavy, still, stiff, out of body, vibration, some just that their eyes where closed and I was talking to them. There is no right or wrong way, in what ever way you experience it that is just perfect for you. I invite my clients to just become curious about how they will experience trance.

When I experienced sleep issues back in 2006 I had physical and sleep study that ruled out any physical disturbances. Then I sought help from a hypnotherapist. During hypnosis, I was able to get in touch with fears that I didn't realize were driving my insomnia. I learned how to quiet my mind and develop self-talk that allowed me to remember that I could handle anything that undone the next day as well as anything new that arose. 11 years later I became a hypnotherapist and now work with people to improve their lives, sleep is a big area. If you are going to supplement, I suggest you work with someone who is educated in helping you figure out what is best for you. Taking supplements arbitrarily could potentially disrupt your natural ability to create hormones that support good sleep.
