I have known Lori since 2010, when we trained together at the Ann Martin Center. She is an incredibly talented therapist, and combines her empathic warmth with clear and direct communication. Lori uses a relational, somatic based approach, and has a specialty in trauma healing. Lori is particularly skilled at connecting with young women and teenage girls, encouraging them to find their truth and tap into their resilience and strength. Lori is also a very reflective clinician, and cares deeply about the work she does. She is committed to supporting people as they navigate the twists and turns of life, and I feel fortunate to have met her. I highly recommend Lori to those who are seeking to deepen their understanding of themselves, to heal old wounds, and to experience more vitality in their lives.
Lori is a great therapist! I worked with her both in person and over video chat for a couple of years and it was always very helpful. I definitely recommend her. She is compassionate, non-judgemental, while also being firm and not afraid to give her opinion when needed.
I started working with Lori a few years ago when I was in a difficult transition in my life and feeling fairly stuck. Working with her has been incredibly beneficial. I am more confident communicating in all of the relationships in my life, from friendships to professional relationships. She is kind and empathetic, and wonderful to work with. Therapy with Lori is one of the best investments I've made in my life and well being.

Lori has worked with our daughter for 5 years. Lori is a compassionate, empathetic, wise, and incredibly skillful therapist. She is masterful with adolescents and now has a unique and special practice for college-aged kids, working via Skype. This has been especially valuable given the huge transition that college can represent, and Skype provides the kind of accessibility, privacy, and convenience that is hard to find especially for kids at rural colleges. Even in colleges with a good mental health system, short-term therapy is the norm. She has also worked with us, the parents, so that we are all working in a coordinated way to provide the best support possible. She has helped me with my parenting which has been invaluable. I feel this has been a key part of her therapeutic approach, working with the whole system to ensure positive change is deep and lasting.
I began my client relationship with Lori at a time when I was in desperate need to change something in my life. I also never thought that I could trust anyone again, but I decided to take one last leap of faith (in myself and in the world) and began therapy. That was 5 and half years ago and I'm 28 and going strong. I still visit with Lori on a regular basis and am consistently proud and so grateful for how much I can accomplish in my daily life, including all the types of situations, emotions and turnouts I am able to face and work through for the benefit of my own quality of life. I'd been to therapy on and off since I was a child, but it was never clear to me what the client - therapist relationship was supposed to look like. Now, I realize that 1) it is something that I can create for myself, in investigating how I want to trust and be trusted, respect and be respected, care and be cared for and 2) it is a relationship with clear boundaries that I get to use to create a new framework for myself in order to outgrow some unfortunate ideas of love that I inherited as a younger person. For me, therapy is a way to start fresh. To create a friendship with the right person - the right therapist - that I know is healthy, so that I can see myself with more and more clarity. This sheds light on the areas that need some extra attention so that I can forge the growth that I want and understand the meaning of true self-confidence. I didn't think I could ever get over paying someone to see me. It's something that is not spoken of very often, but I feel that it is a root cause of trepidation around seeking "professional help." Number one, it made it much easier when I realized that I really liked Lori. She's sweet. She's intelligent. And she's more like the wise older sister I always wished was around when I was a kid. After that, it took time to commit myself to the idea that therapy is a self-investment - that I deserve. Third, I can now see that I am doing a great service in general because paying for this service allows for Lori to be in the community, doing what she is inherently good at - using her gift and compassion to foster growth and positive experience in others. Thank you, Lori.
I spoke with Lori about my daughter's social challenges at school. She was very compassionate, honest, direct, and respectful. I especially appreciated the way she listened to my issues, and got to the bottom of the way the problem was occurring to me, through asking me questions that helped me come out with a great approach to help her, rather than jumping down my throat with a bunch of textbook advice. I totally trust her as a therapist for my daughter and wholeheartedly encourage you to seek her out.
Lori is masterful at leading people down a path of exploring their deepest held fears and relational issues. Her capacity TO BE with another person, and really GET THEM is extraordinary. She has a wizards-eye when it comes to seeing where you’re at, and assisting you on where you want to be. I’ve seen here support, transform and heal those around her – working with Lori is a gift! I highly recommend you take her up on her new offering – it’s bound to be a powerful experience for all women!
I would absolutely recommend her because she has been an instrumental support with my growth in attuning to and trusting my fuller, more embodied truth, in the past, I had a hesitant and uncertain temperament and with Lori’s insights and care, I have celebrated making choices that honor and empower my heart’s longings. For example, she helped me identify limiting beliefs that hinder me around some career decisions and hence, I felt emboldened to live into new possibilities that I had not considered before. I am incredibly grateful for her wise, empowering, expansive and warm way of working, through our years of work together.
Having spent years on her own healing path, she's dedicated her life to her personal healing journey and the healing of others. Lori has honed her skills in many healing modalities coming up with her own unique style. Lori can quickly get to the matter of the heart and see the patterns and beliefs that are present with her clients while guiding them with love and compassion. I trust Lori can hold me through it all.
