I had the pleasure of working with Madison a year ago where she helped me with dietary changes for food allergies and insomnia. Up until recently I had insomnia for many years and have twisted myself inside and out trying to understand what was causing it. After working with Madison and adhering to the diet changes and herbal mixtures in the beginning, I am happy to say that insomnia is few and far between and at least now I can put my finger on what is causing it. I am so appreciative and have a deep respect for the work she does. Thank you!!
As a longtime Iyengar practitioner and a nutritionist myself, I felt I was doing "everything right," and yet my severe digestive issues persisted. I did everything I knew but I feared I was losing the battle. I have managed my diet on my own for the last decade, occasionally seeking help from functional medicine practitioners (who often encouraged me to take supplements that made me feel terrible) and acupuncturists who were often surprised by how depleted I was, urging me to rest but offering little other insight. I took things out of my diet that triggered symptoms, a list that grew constantly, but despite my best efforts my digestive system continued to struggle and my energy levels took a nosedive. By the time I found myself under Madison's care I was in pain daily, unable to digest most everything and so exhausted I felt I needed to go back to bed as soon as I woke up. Her grounding presence and conviction in Ayurveda gave me hope. I trusted her and felt ready to abandon what I thought I knew for a different approach to wellness. The most profound difference in my mind between Ayurveda and every other wellness ideology is that it addresses the constitution of the person, not only is this food nutritious but can this person absorb this food and turn it into energy. My diet was positively health blog worthy before meeting Madison and my bones hurt, my muscles ached, I was exhausted and anxious and constantly holding my abdomen from the pain. It has been a few months now and I have followed her protocol carefully. The results speak for themselves. My energy is back. My diet remains simple, but I enjoy the food I prepare and most importantly, I can digest it. I wake up energized. I feel grounded. I feel that I am in harmony with myself once again. I am able to do rigorous two hour practices daily and to teach classes full time. I am without doubt a better partner, and a better teacher. I am extremely grateful to Madison for her educated and kind, clear guidance these past few months.

About me

I put a big emphasis on health counseling, and support my clients in a very relational way.

I use a combination of diet and lifestyle counseling, herbal remedies, hands-on therapies, yoga, movement, & breath practices to support my clients.

I specialize in helping people with chronic digestive issues, chronic pain conditions, disordered eating, and women's reproductive health.

Healing with food is a central part of my approach, and I am currently publishing a book to help people heal their relationship with food.

I spent 10 years studying with a Master Yogi and have studied under some of the worlds best Ayurvedic Doctors (Vaidyas). I have a deep passion for preserving the authenticity of ancient wisdom practices, while applying them in a culturally relevant way to modern life.

I love working with people who want to dive in and take ownership of their health.

Outside of my work as a clinician, I dance, write poetry, am a Climate Activist, and enjoy quality time with my husky.

My Philosophy of Care

When I was 19 years old, I stunned myself when I looked down at my collage of pharmaceutical drugs I was taking everyday. Each one seemed to lead to side effects that required a new medication. Yet, I kept feeling sicker and sicker. I was working with the disability service at my college, was “allergic” to everything under the sun, and surfing the downward spiral of helplessness. Until that day, when I realized I needed to take my health into my own hands.

I started looking for real answers, instead of just a band aid. I began learning about food and modern agricultural practices, started changing my diet and noticing how much food impacted both my physical symptoms and my emotional state. I started seeking out alternative options to allopathic medicine, and discovered a whole world of health practices that looked at the body as a connected whole.

I committed to the care and guidance of Ayurveda and Yoga. Together, with the support of incredible practitioners and teachers, I healed my chronic disease and now live a pain-free life.

Now, it's my turn to pay it forward.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Madison is warm and easy to talk to. She helped me to understand the root cause of my conditions, and make important connections to other aspects of my life and health history. She gave me specific dietary and lifestyle recommendations and created a customized herbal formula for me to take daily. Finally, I feel like I understand how the dots are connected, and I really believe I can heal!

My Inspiration

Ayurveda addresses health on all levels - mind, body, and soul. It has been continuously practiced for over 5000 years, and it is the ultimate guide to helping you learn how to heal naturally and stay healthy.

It is as relevant today as it was then, and it is the most comprehensive approach to health that I know .
