I began this journey in 1994 when I stepped out of the corporate world and found myself home with four children.Having studied at Princeton University and pursued a career in Brand Marketing, I wanted my time spent at home to be both meaningful and enjoyable.I noticed that my children were always sick….either ear infections, colds or stomach virusesThey were also suffering from consistent sports injuries including sprained ankles and concussions. We were at the doctor all the time.
Then I crashed.I was exhausted all the time.I couldn’t sleep.I wasn’t hungry (even though I thought I was eating healthy).I was so sore after I exercised I couldn’t move. All I wanted to do was take a nap when my kids came home from school. When I went to the doctors, they all looked at me and said ‘Well you know, you are burning the candle at both ends.’ Really? All I was trying to do was get through the day.
One day, I thought to myself……There has got to be a better way.So I began to hunt for solutions.I found a wealth of opportunity out there to heal myself and my family through integrative methods including chiropractic, nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathy and hands on healing.I felt so much better that I decided to study some of these methods myself so that I could share them with you.
Over the last 20 years,I have investigated, experienced and been educated in multiple modalities that help the body connect up with it’s inner healing energy. We all have it but sometimes we get a bit confused about how to implement it.Believe it or not, it’s not that difficult to recapture the energy we all had as children when running around all day was normal, we never had pain and we never wanted to come inside just because it was dark outside.
I graduated from the CT School of Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT), a 3 year certification program, where I learned hands on healing techniques to address all types of tissues in the body whether neurological, circulatory or musculo-skeletal.These techniques can be used to help detoxify the body, decrease pain and to speed up our natural healing process. All of this results in increased energy.
I wanted to learn more about the role food plays in the healing process. It’s difficult to heal without the right nutritious building blocks in our bodies. To that end, I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), the largest nutrition school in the country. There we studied hundreds of dietary theories from Veganism to Paleo. I learned so much about how to support your body through food.I also learned that there is no magic bullet eating plan that works for everyone. It’s important to figure out what works for you.
When you put IMT and IIN together, you get Inergize+, accelerated healing and rapid recovery from injury, low energy, pain and pretty much anything else.Together we will create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
