Matthew was easy to work with and I was able to work through grief, familial and other issues in just 4 sessions.
Matthew Coles worked with me using the techniques outlined in BWRT. I have tried talk therapy, medication and also EMDR therapy to overcome anxiety. Nothing has worked until the techniques put into place working with Matthew. I appreciate that he tried to gather as much information as he could about my concerns/problems so that he could apply the proper technique to solve them. We worked on specific memories in my past that create anxiety in the present, as well as generalized anxiety about certain subjects that do not have a specific trigger tied to them. Each has a specific type of way we treated these triggers and I appreciated the difference. After the first three sessions I was still having some issues that needed solved - we worked on Psychological Resilience, which was truly a breakthrough treatment for me. This gives me the a great tool to use anytime I have something that comes up creating unusually high anxiety. He also gave me some other tools that he felt would be of benefit in my "tool belt" to use when things come up I need to deal with. Those tools were exactly what I needed to create a complete set of tools to deal with my anxiety. Nothing else that I have ever tried has worked quite like BWRT has. I am pairing BWRT with Vagus Nerve (Polyvagal Theory) work so that I can change the physical aspects of my anxiety along with the emotional. New neuropathways that we've created will be a true gift!! Lastly we talked about me wanting to lose some weight. He taught me that there are three components to weight and what those were. We went through a BWRT treatment course to help me accomplish my goals. Now it's up to me. Matthew is patient, he thinks things through to provide the best treatment options and has personal experience with the techniques, which makes it nice. I want someone to know what I am going through, and I feel like he did.

About me

I've been in the film world since 2009 and I love it! However, I've always loved to help people and in 2016 I made the choice to put my feet into the therapy world. I've done FAST Track training in NLP, TimeLine Therapy and Hypnosis. After that I came across a therapy called BWRT - BrainWorking Recursive Therapy/Technique®. I learned BWRT in 2017 and I never looked back. BWRT has allowed me to help so many people in a very short period of time. It is fast, effective and long lasting. You can learn more about it here: www.bwrtutah.com
Coming from Canada to live in Provo, UT, my family and I have lived here for 12 years and we are proud to call it home.

My Philosophy of Care

Your Mind and Body knows what it needs to HEAL! How it tells you is in symbols (ex. sickness, reoccurring thoughts, habits etc.) which at times may be hard to understand. But through the help of BWRT, once you know and understand what your body and mind are telling you it is simple and easy to let it go and be free of it.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Expect to learn what BWRT is, how BWRT works, and experience the power that BWRT has to literally change the neural pathways within your mind and change the way you feel.

My Inspiration

My Great Uncle, Keith Perry, introduced this therapy to me. He was one of the first pioneers to learn this therapy and show me at a time where I was having trouble with job interviews. We did a session on my anxiety when it comes to job interviews. We went through the process and it was fast and I felt great afterwards. I was able to test it at a job interview that I had and I was clear and articulate and I NAILED that interview. Afterwards, I thought WOW this really works. BWRT is Amazing!

Questions & Answers

Matthew Coles, Advance BWRT Practitioner Answers
Hi Diana Thanks for your reply. There are many things that can contribute to short or long term memory loss. With that being said though it is good to understand the brain and how our minds work. The brain is a very finite organ in the which our conscious minds can only think and focus on a few things if not just one thing. Imagine your brain is this platter of food that fills up and in order to get rid of the food that is already on there you need to eat it or throw it away. Food is always going to be put on this platter, but the platter is only so big that it can't always catch or make room for the extra food that is coming and therefore the food falls off the platter because the platter is already full. Now it would not surprise me that the reason you, or someone you know, are having memory problems is because your brain (platter) is already full and it can't take on anything else at the moment. It needs to empty the platter. Now what is on that platter is anyones guess but in my experiences some of that food could be trauma (abuse-physically/sexually) Grief, Emotional Abuse. Some of the other foods could be limiting beliefs, anxiety, or an event that has not healed yet etc. Once you clear the food your brain can function better and take on more food or in this case have better memory retention because right now the brain is saying that these things on the plate need to be addressed and is giving more energy into healing from those things and doesn't want to give any energy to other memories that aren't important right now. It's literally screaming to that person, get this fixed now! I am tired of carrying this for so long. It is not serving me any more. Now that being said, in my case that is majority of people, in some cases it could literally be a medical problem or a brain injury that has nothing to do with psychology. That is where a doctor is needed. However, in this case what I do is literally clear that platter with the modality that I do that could possibly help with short and long term memory. I would be more than happy to explain this in more detail with you and to see if its right for you. I hope that this helps in better understanding of how to go about it.
