Matthew Sweetser, LCSW

A Licensed Certified Social Worker, Matthew Sweetser has years of experience working with young children, young adolescents, and adults struggling with a wide range of issues. Born and raised in Fayetteville, Matthew has earned a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Work at the University of Arkansas.

Matthew has experience in a wide variety of settings including in an adult inpatient psychiatric hospital, working with kids and adolescents in Therapeutic Day Treatment, and school-based and home-based counseling. Matthew can treat a wide variety of issues including anger, trauma, depression, anxiety, social skills, grief, family conflict, life-changes, and relationship issues. Matthew has received training in play-therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotionally-focused therapy.

Matthew’s laid back personality and relaxed demeanor creates a naturally casual, safe, and fun environment. Matthew enjoys watching movies, playing and listening to music, photography and most of all, spending time with his wife, family, friends, and pets.
