Here is why I am in awe of Michael Finn: he is a healer in the truest sense of the word. He is sensitive, intuitive, and has a big heart. He is aware of the power of energy, enjoys healing others, and uses his vast knowledge and talents to help his clients achieve their goals. He is a remarkable human being. I had chronic low back and shoulder pain for over ten years and that is all gone now. I just want to say thanks for Michael’s magic thumbs and corrective exercise approach.
Michael’s knowledge of the human body and how it all works is incredible. The workout programs he creates for me are a cross between physical therapy and strength and conditioning. The workouts are hard, but progress at a pace that I can adapt to. The focus of the workouts changes daily, weekly, and seasonally depending on my racing schedule, traveling for work, or busy times around the holidays. Michael has taught me a simple nutritional plan and instructed me how to listen to my body, so I can maintain a proper body weight for me and have energy for work and cycling. The deep tissue work Michael does helped me recover quickly from a separated shoulder and has improved the function of my neck.

About me

Well I will keep this short. For the long story visit my about page on my website www.finnfit.com.
At the age of 14 I was 60 pounds over weight. I was raised on processed and fast food. I was also raised to over eat. I am sure it didn't help coming home from school every day to an empty house with ice-cream in the fridge and something to watch on the TV.
So at 14 I put my foot down and changed my life. I told my mom what to buy me at the store and started exercising 3 or more days per week. I didn't want my weight to get in the way of doing fun things any more.

Oh by the way I am blind! Yes at the age of 2 a doctor gave me medication that cause a lot of damage to my optic nerve. So if you are standing more than 6 feet away from me I may not even know you are there.
Even with a vision impairment I wanted to try and play sports. When I was 18 I started running track. I managed to qualify and compete in the 1992 Paralympics in Barcelona, and the 1994 track and field world championships in Germany.

Health, fitness and wellness has been my passion in life since I was 14 and made the changes in my life. Many told me with my disability I could not hold a position in the fitness and wellness industry.
I believed them for many years and chose to own a coffee business to support my track career.

After eight years of bringing in money selling coffee I realized life wasn't just about making money. I needed to try to go after my passions and dreams.

I have now been a Holistic Lifestyle and Exercise coach for over 15 years. I have worked with 100's of clients of all ages, lifestyles and sports. one client lost 10 pounds of body fat. Many clients don't have common back and neck pains any more. Clients have competed in triathalons, cycling, hockey, basketball, soccer, swimming, and baseball to name a few. One client 64 is now a sprinter in the senior games. She is ranked in the top ten in the world in the 50 meter dash whith only two years of running experience.

Most clients come to me with aches and pains a some amount of body weight they want to loose. I coach them to reach their goals of being pain free, happy and healthy in a way that fits in to their schedule, resources, finances, and what they are willing to do. They often learn things they didn't think had anything to do with their health. My clients also enjoy that they sleep better, digest better, and have more energy.

I have a life and body I love, and I can do any activity I want with it. I love to help others achieve their happy and healthy dreams self, so they to can love their life and do everything they want to do. No would should ever feel left out.

My Philosophy of Care

I Coach people to live a healthy lifestyle. This means we look and make changes to a clients exercise habits, nutritional habits, sleep wake cycle, stress levels, hydration, supplementation, thought, focus, motivation, relationships, and more. The results that can be achieved when you look at many lifestyle factors are great compared to just looking at one lifestyle factor.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

If we don't assess than we are just guessing. Guessing is how people make mistakes.
The first visit and even before the first visit is about finding out what your goals are, and how far down the path you are to reaching those goals. Clients also receive an online account so they can fill in health history, and other assessment tools to save time for the coaching sessions.

My Inspiration

I was an over weight teen, and was always watching many people in the world falling apart.
People becoming very over weight, people in pain, frozen shoulders, painful knees, painful backs, neck, and hips.
When you treat the body as one entire unit you can resolve all of these issues above and live a healthy and happy life.
