I have been coming to Molly for acupuncture for at least 10 years now. She always listens carefully and puts together a treatment suited for just what my body needs. I am constantly battling an overused and aching lower back due to many years doing landscape construction. I have been doing Taekwondo for the last 6 years or so which is its own unique source of pain. Given my lifestyle, I need to manage my aches before they become pains. Molly has always given creative and effective treatments that give lasting relief for whatever kind of issue I bring. Thank you so much Molly!
I have been using acupuncture for migraines, nerve pain in my face and hormone control to help me through menopause. Molly inherited me when she bought the clinic. She always listens to what worked/what didn't and my current concerns. I work as a travel nurse but whenever I am in the Auburn area working, one of my first calls is to Auburn Acupuncture to get myself tuned up and feeling better. It adds to my quality of life and I always miss her when I am not in the area.
I've experiences amazing back pain relief with acupuncture in the past, but didn't realize it could help with digestive issues. When I decided to give it a try again, I had been struggling with fructose malabsorption for about four years, the main symptoms being immediate belching and delayed abdominal pain after eating most foods with fructose. After a few sessions with Molly, my symptoms started fading away. Other benefits have been better sleep and anxiety relief that have been problems due to hyperthyroidism and Graves disease.

About me

I love acupuncture because it is a simple yet profound technique that gets results. I love that it can bring relief to a myriad of patients from the 16 year old athlete with a sprained ankle to the 80 year old with osteoarthritis of the knee. I practice gentle, effective, compassionate acupuncture based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. I tend to focus on those seeking relief from chronic and acute pain, relief from headaches, relief from stress, and allergy relief. I also work with those who are already healthy and desire to maintain their good health.
I use a lot of meridian therapy, distal needling, and electro-acupuncture (hooking up the acupuncture needles to an electronic stimulation machine). I also do some Tui Na (a form of massage) and some cupping. I also work with clients seeking to better their health and digestion through Chinese Dietary recommendations.
Electro-acupuncture is especially effective in both reducing the intensity of pain while in the patient in our office and has the added benefit of increasing the amount of time the patient experiences pain relief. Electro-acupuncture also helps with any condition that regular acupuncture can treat and patients find it relaxing.

My Philosophy of Care

My philosophy is that acupuncture helps a body and mind find its way back to the path of health. Illness and disease mean our mind and body have veered from the path of wellness, and acupuncture is excellent at helping them re-find the way to health.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

At first office calls, I like to do an extensive evaluation of the chief complaint, a review of both the client's health history and their family health history, talk about sleep and lifestyle, and do an assessment of acupuncture points that may be sore or tender. We will talk about what might be out of balance in your body, and how many treatments I think it will take until you notice a significant difference in your symptoms.

My Inspiration

I was inspired in my senior year of college by a mother that I babysat for. She was an acupuncturist and I had no idea that was a career path one could follow in the US! My first job after college was teaching English in Japan. After that experience, I wanted to pursue a career that would allow to stay in touch with Eastern culture(s). However, on my way home from Japan, I contracted mononucleosis and I did not really start feeling better until after a course of acupuncture treatments.

Acupuncture treatments with Molly at Auburn Acupuncture helped me get over sciatic pain.
I received a treatment for soft tissue discomfort near my right shoulder blade from Molly and found the procedure to be pain free. The result of the treatment was a measurable decrease in the discomfort associated with that area.
Your treatments helped me in the earlier stage of Bell's Palsy, which is getting better every day.
