About me

Fitness has been a passion for me my entire life. My interest for health and nutrition started in middle school when my doctor told me that there was no such thing as hyperglycemia. Although I was active in sports and ate well, I struggled with energy, mental clarity and mood .

After getting married, I moved to Germany. Although I wasn’t doing anything different in way of diet and exercise, I started to feel better. Almost over night my mood swings stopped, the blood sugar crashes ceased and I finally felt strong playing sports. Was the air in Germany just better? How was it that a change of scenery could have such a drastic impact on my body?

I began to research about the food system in Europe. I discovered that the way foods are grown, produced, and prepared in Europe were very different from here in the United States. The Europeans have strict ingredient restrictions on foods such as sugar, additives, preservatives, GMO's, hormones, and antibiotics. I found out quickly that these specific ingredients were depleting my body of energy and making me sick. That is why as soon as I moved to Germany and no longer had access to the American food system, I immediately started to feel balanced. I also noticed the improved work-life balance was also a huge factor in my health. These discoveries changed my life and I decided to become a Board Certified Health Coach.

Food wasn't the only thing I discovered in Germany. After a skiing accident, which left my back in chronic pain, I learned about Pilates. It not only relieved my back pain, but it showed me a method of exercise that brings the whole body into consideration and balance. I enjoy many sports and Pilates really improved my performance. I became a certified Pilates instructor and worked many years with the owner, Rudi Martinez, of Pure Body Movements in Munich. After several years, I opened a Pure Body Movements studio in a town near Frankfurt.

I continued this path of education when I moved to Colorado became a certified in yoga, and barre as well as became a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. Both my Pilates and Health Coaching practices view the body as intuitive and whole. One area of the body can't work without affecting the rest, be it mind, body or soul. I feel that giving your body the right input (thoughts, nutrients, and appropriate movement) it can balance itself and work more optimally. I try to uncover the imbalances through assessments, observations, feedback and access to the right lab tests.

I hope through Pilates and Health Coaching, I can help people like you in all parts of the world get balanced. I use individual step-by-step strategies to help my clients make life altering changes in their diet, lifestyle and movement. Both Pilates and Health Coaching sessions are customized. I don’t focus on restricting you from the foods you love. I help find the gaps in your health and we co-create a plan to support your body so you can live a healthier and happier life with the foods and lifestyle that you love . No sacrificing, no yo-yo diets, just the right foods and the support you need to achieve the body you deserve.

My Philosophy of Care

I constantly tried new approaches to feel better and improve my health with different diets, gadgets, and exercise routines, but nothing changed my symptoms. Because I was active and my lab results always looked good on paper, my symptoms were disregarded. I knew this was not my optimal health and I could feel better.
