Move Beyond Limits
Feldenkrais and Anat Baniel Method Practitioners
After spending way too many years glued to my computer, I noticed I had a body when a herniated disc shouted so loudly I couldn't ignore it.
A friend introduced me to the Feldenkrais Method®, which thankfully put me on the path to healing. By learning how to listen and respond to more subtle cues, I soon found myself out of pain. But then the true joy started, as I realized not only could I return to how I was before my injury, but actually expand what was possible. So at 45, life opened up to all sorts of new possibilities. Now at 58, I'm enjoying a new hobby of trail running, and delighting in being able to dance all evening without pain.
I love teaching classes and presenting information - let me know if you'd like a class for a support group, professional association, or other group.
Fixing things and analyzing and solving problems are my passions. Whether it be programming, networking, skating, or dancing, understanding how the components work together makes creativity possible.
I enjoy figuring out what is required for a particular movement, and breaking it down so it can be easily learned. The Feldenkrais Method, designed by physicist Moshe Feldenkrais, provides a structure for analyzing and improving movement that works, whether your goal is getting out of pain or learning new skills.
In my spare time, I teach dancing and skating, help non-profits with their networks, and love to fix things.
