I am an acupuncturist. I inspire and support people to live at their highest potential by transforming their health and life experience.
I am a highly trained acupuncturist. My education, experience with healing, the arts and a life-long connection to nature is the foundation from which I create profound, safe and comfortable healing experiences.
I support the body’s own intrinsic knowledge of healing through Classical Chinese Medicine. I collaborate with my patients in their healing, prioritizing their comfort and well-being. I am a healing arts practitioner and will incorporate Kampo Herbal Medicine, Tui Na, Essential Oils, Stone medicine or Tuning forks into my acupuncture treatments where appropriate.
My dance background informs my extensive knowledge of the body. When the body is in alignment flow happens. Lack of flow and circulation cause discomfort and pain.
I grew up in the mountains of northern New Mexico where I experienced acupuncture for the first time as a toddler with chronic ear infections and later as an adolescent with persistent allergies. I have been a dancer since the age of four. My experience with and sensitivity to my own body provides me with essential knowledge about the human body and imbalances within it.
I started seeing an acupuncturist in my late twenties who helped me a lot. I suffered from depression and caught many colds and flus throughout my teens and twenties. I would get quite sick and have to remain in bed for a week or more. My immune system strengthened quickly and since then I get sick less often and less severe. I continued working with the same acupuncturist as I realized acupuncture/energetic medicine was a profound way to heal the body, mind and spirit. Every session was different from the previous one and unraveled a little more of what needed to be healed within myself. This is where I began my conscious healing journey. As I went deeper and deeper into my own healing it became more and more apparent that I needed to become a healer myself and share my experience, skills and knowledge with other human beings. Once I stepped onto the path of being a healer I never looked back or wished I was doing something else. When I think back to my childhood experience I see that I was always a healer.
Clients feel deeply relaxed, lighter and with less pain. Often times they will feel so relaxed they want to nap after a treatment. They feel more open, less tight and an ease of movement. Some clients fall asleep on the table while resting with needles and describe a deeper more profound sleep than they receive at home.
Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine, almost hair-like, sterile, single use needles. On insertion you may feel a slight sensation or nothing at all. Acupuncture is an energetic medicine, increases circulation, quiets the mind and relaxes the body. Needles are inserted into specific points along meridians that run the length of the body. A set of points are chosen per diagnosis, needled and left for a certain amount of time, depending on what is being treated. Acupuncture creates deep relaxation, calm and ease.
