Nicole has been practicing Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine for five years and in private practice for three years. She is currently working on her Clinical Doctorate of Chinese Medicine with specializations in Pain Management, Women's Health and Mental Health. The Doctorate in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (DAOM) is the highest degree awarded by the profession. Additional work Nicole has done includes being the Co-Director of BAYVAC, the Bay Area Veterans Acupuncture Clinic in San Francisco and the Program Manager at Acupuncturists Without Borders. She has additional clinical training at California Pacific Medical Center's Stroke and Rehabilitation Hospital and YueYang Hospital in Shanghai, China.
Nicole’s road to becoming an acupuncturist began when she was young and suffering from health issues. At that time Western healthcare providers weren’t able to diagnose or treat her. She sought answers from alternative medicine practitioners and through their diagnosis and treatment plan, she improved immensely.
After that experience, it became her passion to provide these services to others. With each patient, she bestows a set of tools to guide them on the path to wellness so that balance can be restored to their bodies and lives resulting in improved health. Nicole believes it is a group effort to get well---not only between her and her patients, but also in conjunction with the patient's health care team.
Nicole specializes in treating Pain, Women's Health Issues, Digestive Issues and in balancing the body and mind through the use of Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Advice and Supplementation and Lifestyle Advice.
