Learn More About Pamela Wake, Master Certified Health Coach

About me

My interest in health began when I was a teenager. Having experienced continual side effects from prescription medications and wanting to learn about nutrition and wellness options I began a journey of investigating the different ways I could reach the highest level of health possible. I have since maintained an interest in using whole foods to maintain my health, along with movement, stretching and positive mindset strategies. I remain active and motivated, and enjoy hiking and exploring the beauty of nature as part of my wellness plan.

My Philosophy of Care

Wellness is not the absence of illness, it is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of creating and living a life that is positive, fulfilling and excites you in your career and relationships and affirms a solid sense of self. I am passionate about collaborating with and empowering clients to identify their strengths, successes and vision so they can reach their personal and professional wellness goals. I believe everyone deserves affordable and accessible wellness services.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

At your first session you can expect of a review of what my philosophy and health coaching services look like, an opportunity to ask questions, review your desires for your wellness and the opportunity to start working on identifying what dimension(s) of your wellness you would like to focus on first. If you have a clear idea of where you want to go, we can jump right into creating short and long-term goals, and creating a wellness vision.

My Inspiration

I have experienced first-hand support and guidance from professional mentors, personal friends and colleagues who have shared their wisdom and insight, humanity and encouraged me to live a positive and expansive life. I love the opportunity to be of service to others through a personal connection and sharing my knowledge and experience to motivate others to reach their highest vision of health through my unique health coaching services.

Questions & Answers

Pamela Wake, Master Certified Health Coach Answers
It is a difficult time individually and collectively for all. For me, two things really helped. Doing zoom sessions with friends every day and getting out in nature. This helped me to not feel alone and connected. Spending too much time watching the news and on social media can actually be a detriment to your health. It's good to be informed but in the end you have to decide what is right for your life and your health. Now and always you have the final say on how your life looks. You make the choice about every aspect of it every day, in every situation. When you give that freedom of choice away, you can feel disenchanted and powerless. No matter what happens in the outer world, you have autonomy over yourself, your body, your life. Align yourself with people who support your thoughts and goals and let go of anything that doesn't support that. I used the Insight Timer app every morning for months to clear my mind, release anxiety and to start my day with a positive mindset. Using apps like this can help deactivate "monkey mind" and take you out of the outside chaos. Do more of what you love to do and make that a priority. Challenges come and go and know that this one will go.

Sleep is where you body rejuvenates and heals, so getting enough sleep is important. Most people need between 7-8 hours a night. There are a variety rituals that you can do to prepare your mind and body to relax and go to sleep more easily. It can look different for each person, but creating a habit around going to sleep can be very effective. I keep my bedroom dark and free from any technology and use music to quiet my mind. After implementing a sleep routine for a few weeks, your body and mind start to associate the routine with letting go and getting ready to sleep and becomes an easier process.

I know that it may seem like nothing is ever enough. But the fact that you are reaching out and speaking about what is true for you is a big step. You are expressing a desire for change and that is big. You are being vulnerable and honest and that will go a long way in exploring how you can find what you need "inside of you". It is there. With support and guidance, you can find it.
