Hello there, I'm Regula.
I'm so glad you're here.
I have unending compassion for you and your story.
When we work together, I bring the wealth of my 17 years of experience helping adults and children heal their stories of trauma.
From refugee centers to group homes, community building projects to research, as well as individual therapy in both my native Switzerland and the United States, I've fine tuned my skills and honed my passion for compassionate, holistic care with a focus on the wisdom of the body-mind connection.
My social work background is my foundation, and I've layered this with rich experience and additional training in body-mind centered therapies, including Sensorimotor and Pesso-Boyden Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness training with Thich Nhat Hahn.
I love helping women transform their relationships, careers, and everyday lives by healing through the wisdom of the body.
I love gently guiding women to help them move from anxiety to ease, overwhelm to spaciousness, and from fear and isolation to safety and connection.
I love witnessing these courageous women find new ways to access the internal resources that have always been in them, to find sweet and fulfilling ways to be in relationship with themselves and others.
I believe the body-mind connection is essential to healing, since our cells register in their memories everything that ever happens to us.
As the years go by, emotional wounds hidden in our cells may eventually show up as distress in our body. This distress is our inwardly troubled self’s way of trying to get our attention, asking for help to heal the body and mind.
I will guide you in learning what’s hidden in your body in a gentle and nurturing way. You are able to free yourself from any pain.
My own healing journey left me in awe. What a powerful and yet gentle impact it had on the body and mind! I decided that I wanted to incorporate this wisdom into my own therapy practice. I explored additional body-centered approaches to healing. Eventually I was able to heal my eating disorder for good. I also came to a deeper understanding of who I truly am. As a result, I have built a comfortable new life and a new home here, for which I am beyond thankful.
