Learn how to develop a relationship with your breath
Sandi Tindal has been teaching yoga full-time in the Dallas community since completion of her yoga teacher training with North Texas Yoga in January of 2014. She has over 1600 hours of teaching experience combined with over 50 hours of officially recognized continuing education. She is known for her ability to perceive accurately where each person's capabilities are and to provide creative and helpful adaptations. Her teaching approach and viewpoint are significantly influenced by her background in engineering. Sandi finds that the human body is an engineering marvel and loves to share with others techniques on how to keep the body and mind functioning at their best.
Sandi teaches therapeutic and sustainable yoga practice classes on land and in the water. The emphasis is movement through the guidance of breath. She believes that yoga postures should be practiced with a view of the long haul; safety and cultivating healthy body holding and movement patterns can be connected to as the practitioner develops a healthy relationship between their breath and the spine.
Sandi is passionate about helping others increase their self-awareness through the practice of yoga. The way she teaches gives students opportunities to practice mindfulness, learn more about themselves and exercise loving-kindness towards the self. Students discover that they receive physical benefits such as reduced pain in the body, more mobility, better balance and increased muscle tone. Many students feel they also receive mental and spiritual benefits as well such as improved emotional health, the ability to be open to life's possibilities and increased empathy to others around them.
