Hello!
I’m Tabitha Salomonson, a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist (PRYT) accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists and a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher.
After obtaining a BS in Kinesiology with a Minor in Psychology at UNLV and earning a MA in Marital & Family Therapy from USD, I was in search of an approach that merged what I'd learned about strengthening the mind body connection. As the Universe often does, it placed this modality in my path and has forever transformed the way I approach life and my desire to support others in the navigation of theirs.
Whether you have clarity on a desired new path or simply know SOME kind of change is needed, I welcome the opportunity to explore with you how this therapy may benefit your life experience.
PRYT is based in yogic philosophy as well as modern, client centered psychology and blends evidence based practices of yoga and somatic healing modalities.
I agree whole heartedly with Bessel van der Kolk's assertion that “In order to change, people need to become aware of their sensations and the way that their bodies interact with the world around them. Physical self-awareness is the first step in releasing the tyranny of the past.”
Growing up in a family with various health afflictions and traumas, my interest in health began in my teens. The more I learned, the stronger my interest became. From prevention to healing, the ability to impact wellness captivates me and has offered the most gratifying career trajectory I could have asked for.
