Licensed Massage Therapist
I have been providing complementary therapies for over 25 years. Beginning as a Reflexologist, I became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in 1999. I love learning and my education includes Zero Balancing, Specialized Kinesiology, Touch for Health Level 1 & 2, Shiatsu, CranioSacral Therapy (through the Upledger Institute), Cupping Therapy, Gwa Sha, Reiki Level 1 & 2, Sound Therapy, Swedish massage, Heated Stone massage therapy, Aromatherapy, Reconnective Healing, BrainGym and Practitioner training in Bach Flower Remedies. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
I have always been interested in complementary therapies. I became a wellness professional following a car accident in 1992. During recovery I became acquainted with various healing modalities and following a reflexology session I was immediately pain free after three months of being in pain. My curiosity in complementary healing methods led me to study reflexology. My reflexology clients encouraged me to learn massage. And I did. Since then, it's been an ever-expansive learning experience for me.
On a client's first visit we will discuss your health goals - relaxation, muscle soreness/pain relief and/or wellness maintenance and how best to achieve those goals.
Having been injured in a car accident and discovering complementary therapies to reduce and alleviate the pain, I learned a light educated touch could be quite valuable in the healing process. However, I often had the experience of practitioners working too deep for my preference. I guessed I wasn't the only "delicate flower" in the world and was inspired to learn lighter touch modalities to share with those seeking that type of relaxing, therapeutic experience.
