I am a long-time massage practitioner with a background in dance, poetry, and Russian . I studied widely, including time at the Training Center of the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing. Essential oils are often incorporated into my therapeutic massage sessions. Studying Chinese Medical Massage (Tuina) emerged into a study of Qi Gong as well, and in 2016 I completed my Qi Gong Teacher Training with Master Teacher Lee Holden, L.Ac. and now teach Qi Gong outdoors (for much of the year), and on Zoom during the Montana winters! I also offer private Qi Gong instruction tailored to your needs. Many of my clients/students see me for both massage and Qi Gong (two of the five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine).
I bring my background as a dancer, writer, and long-time student of touch to assist you in greater self expression, self understanding, and more ease in the body. I treasure the blessing that is my work of helping people to activate and move their life force energy (Qi)!
On your first visit, you can expect first a listening ear. In order to give you the best possible massage for this day, I seek to get to know you a bit -- not just what's going on in your body, but what is alive for you in your heart and mind. In this way, I am able to bring a full spectrum of Chinese Medical modalities to bear.
My grandmother was a surgical nurse, and she always told me I had surgeon's hands. Later in college, a mentor of mine told me I had healing hands. I carried these early references with me, and so it made sense that when I received my first massage at age 23, and it was so revelatory physically and emotionally, that I embark on a healing journey to understand why. I now endeavor to assist others in their own bodily revelations.
