Wendy actually changed my life. I had two herniated discs and was headed toward surgery when we were introduced. I went from multiple weeks per year when I was immobile on the floor to managing my pain through yoga, strength training, and stretching. Wendy’s technique and encouragement has been transformative.
You will not find a more knowledgable, caring, thorough or compassionate provider/teacher. She has an extraordinary gift of being able to help heal your body and your soul at the same time. I thought I was going for a yoga class but this woman profoundly touched and changed my life. I am forever better, and forever grateful, for having had the great privilege of working with her. I only wish I could have more time with her. Her online classes are a God send!
Were I to write all the things I think about her, it would seem like I was gilding the lily. I cannot more heartily endorse Wendy as a yoga therapist. She is compassionate, passionate, centered and empathetic. She encourages you to move at your own pace, yet is fully supportive in helping you challenge yourself. Her whole body approach creates an opportunity for her clients to restore themselves at their own speed and in their own time and place. Book time with her - you will not be disappointed!!

Yoga Therapy, 1 hour
Whether you have back pain, joint pain (or any other injury or musculoskeletal issue), therapeutic yoga can absolutely help! I am walking, talking proof of that, as I successfully used the application of yoga therapy to treat and manage my severe disc herniation over a decade ago. The practice of yoga therapy can also be used for those who are wanting to strengthen, balance, calm, and tone their body AND mind, as well as specific conditions such as cancer and Parkinson's disease. I also integrate chair yoga, when needed/ wanted. If you experiencing financial hardship, please let me know so we can discuss what is available. Some yoga is better than no yoga, and money should never impede self-care.

Yoga for Women's Health (Fertility, Pregnancy, Postpartum)
For over 15 years, I have guided women (and their partners) through their reproductive lifespan. Even for those not seeking to get pregnant, consider that "Fertility" is also another word for "Vitality" (and balance). No matter where you are in your journey, I will guide you through a comprehensive methodology to help you feel more empowered and able to control what you can (and let go of the rest). The practices I teach are safe for those moving through Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) such as IVF and IUI, as well as high-risk pregnancies and postpartum issues (i.g, Diastisis Recti, etc.). If you experiencing financial hardship, please let me know so we can discuss what is available. Some yoga is better than no yoga, and money should never impede self-care.

About me

In 2009, I was diagnosed with a “severe” disc herniation in my low back. I used the practice of specific yoga approaches, therapeutically, to stabilize and manage that injury with no other medical interventions.

Additionally, over the past 15 years I have had the honor to guide and hold the space for hundreds of women moving through the tumultuous roller coaster ride of fertility. I have also been through my own personal bumpy ride on the fertility wagon. After two miscarriages, I conceived my amazing son. My pregnancy with him was not without its challenges, but in the end all was well and I was blessed to have my ‘ideal’ childbirth and delivery. I owe much of my ability to stay calm and trusting of my body to my yoga practice. And that experience drives me to pass that knowledge on through my teaching of fertility, prenatal & postpartum yoga.

My Philosophy of Care

Through my personal journey through injury and not feeling great in my body, the practice of yoga became the one modality that not only helped me most but has evolved as I have evolved (and aged).

So it brings me great joy to share the tools of yoga therapy with other individuals in chronic pain, recovering from injury, post-operative rehab and to help build an awareness towards injury prevention. To guide individuals towards a deeper understanding of their body, be curious about their pain and to feel empowered in the knowing that it IS possible to feel better.

My Inspiration

Being "flexible" isn't just about the flexibility of our physical body, but also the flexibility of our mind. The practice of yoga includes more than just physical postures. It is an eight-limb "path" that addresses the whole person. Therefore, it is a practice that can be tailored and modified to suit anyone and everyBODY.

Wendy is not only a wonderfully knowledgeable yoga instructor, she makes everyone feel confident and comfortable during practice. Wendy has a calming and warm energy, which adds to the experience of healing, alignment and releasing physical and mental stress. Her classes always bring me clarity and allow me to deepen my practice.
Absolutely Amazing Restorative Yoga Instructor ! I can not say enough great things about Wendy's classes and her teaching methodologies. There were so many times when I entered the room with pains and ready to take medications, but after her class pain will disappear and I no longer need to reach for it. She knows human body and can find the ways to release your pains. She is very personal, she works WITH YOU and never give up until she finds the way to help you. Frankly, I don't need to go to my physical therapy any more, because she combines yoga philosophy with actual medical knowledge and includes many therapeutic exercises. I was taking her classes in person and online and looking forward to see her again. Thank you Wendy for all you good energy, love, care that you were giving us for years !!!
I could not speak more highly of Wendy. She is one of the only yoga teachers who I trust. She is so mindful, careful never to push my body beyond where it is willing to go, and accomodating to every limitation. She has the knowledge akin to a physical therapist, the compassion of someone who has been through physical injury herself, and the eye of a skilled yoga therapist. In one of my one-on-one sessions with Wendy, she taught me how to breathe as I had never experienced before. It was expansive and illuminating to me, and I had practiced yoga for years! She always creates a safe space for her clients and I feel privileged to have received her care and special attention to my body's needs.
Wendy is a not only a highly knowledgeable and proficient yoga therapist, but more importantly she is a sincere, thoughtful, kind and nurturing healer. I discovered I had a bulging disc about 5 years and doing yoga therapy with Wendy saved my mind and body. I never thought I would have the same mobility or strength as before my injury, but Wendy helped me find the strength within myself to heal and fall back in love with my yoga practice. I have been working with Wendy throughout the pandemic via Zoom, and even though I miss her physical energy, it shines through the screen and has once again saved my sanity and my body during these hard times. She is intuitive, always knows what my body needs even when I don't know myself, and is mindful, encouraging and openhearted in a way that is unique and special. I highly recommend Wendy and am very grateful for her presence in my life.
Wendy is a wonderful teacher and healer! She helped me through a difficult time of going through infertility. I highly recommend her!
Finding Wendy has been life saving when I went through the painful path of infertility. Her kind and professional intervention made a significant impact in the way I confront challenges. Even today I find so useful the things I learnt during that time. I always remember some of the things she told me : for example to stay in the present even though that present might suck and to always stay on the side of gratitude. Thanks so much Wendy!
Wendy is the real deal when it comes to yoga. Her knowledge of the body and her kind heart create a wonderful environment for exploration and learning. Highly recommended!
Wendy has been my go to person for anything yoga and body. When I was going through alot of fertility treatments, she was there. When I just wanted to de-stress, she was there. And most recently, when I locked my back, she was there. She's knowledgable, kind and knows how to get you where you need to go in a way that makes it feel doable.
Wendy helps my colleagues and I a lot in pain and stress relief. She is very knowledgeable and patient in the classes. I enjoy the classes which fulfill my energy :)
I have practiced with Wendy since June 2019 through my office & continued via Zoom since quarantine. I am a self-professed gym rat in my late 60's and highly recommend taking her classes. Wendy has a great manner that makes working with her very easy. Her knowledge of physiology allows her to tailor her classes to her students individual needs. Her practice is non-competitive and non-judgmental and give the student the opportunity to progress at his/her own pace. However having said that, her sessions are also a great workout. My wife has joined the practice via Zoom and thoroughly enjoys it too..
I have practiced with Wendy for several years including thru an episode of “frozen shoulder.” Her expertise, incredible focus and attention to form totally cured my shoulder. When “shelter-at-home” went into effect, I decided to continue with a remote practice. Working remotely has been so successful, I’m considering continuing my practice via remote even after the order is lifted. I could not recommend Wendy more wholeheartedly!
Wendy is a yogi in every sense of the word. She has a staggering knowledge of the human body and how it works. I am a regular yoga practitioner, but because of the private sessions I had with Wendy early on in my practice, which started in 2005, I have a much better grasp of what the poses are supposed to feel like. So many times I see people doing postures incorrectly and I think to myself "I wish they could have just one session with Wendy." I'll never forget how she changed my downward dog posture into something completely different than what I thought I was supposed to be doing. Her minor rotations of my wrist joints completely shifted the pose into something so healing and transformational. Her understanding of breath work is also unparalleled. Wendy is the kind of teacher who understands Yoga in a multi-dimensional language of body-mind-spirit and can translate it so effectively to any practitioner, from the novice to the most seasoned. I also visited her for a private when I became pregnant with my first child, and it was pure delight to learn to move my body in a totally different way, even with the weight gain, bloat, and muscle tension I was experiencing from so many body changes in such a short time. Wendy is an incredible gift to the yoga community.
Wendy is adaptable in any situation. I have experienced private sessions, in person group sessions and online sessions. She is aware of her clientele and provides a calm space for healing and relaxation to occur. She is always the first person I think of when I'm looking to hire a professional yoga instructor to lead an event.
Wendy is a gem of a teacher and human. I am a fellow colleague, but when I need help with my own health issues, she’s my goto gal. She’s a wealth of information and I trust her implicitly. Her experience, insights, powers of intuition and discernment and caring touch are what distinguish her in a sea of yoga teachers. She’s a master at her craft and a true healer.
It has been four years since I began my yoga therapy with Wendy, since then my lower back pain, knee pain and other discomfort are gone! Wendy with her amazing understanding of the body has given the opportunity to be able to enjoy my life. I am 82 years old and I am doing long walks, normal daily activities and most important lots of travel. Thank you Wendy!
Wendy is not only a certified yoga therapist but also an extremely aware, intuitive, and patient instructor. She makes sure to listen to the needs of each and every client and clearly communicates her direction so that one can easily get into the meditation and flow. She and her practice have been nothing short of healing for me. I've been working with her for years, in classes and in private instruction. I adore her attention to detail and her spirit. She is a truly gifted yogi.
Wendy is knowledgeable, compassionate and an incredible listener. Her ability to use her skills combined with staying present allows her to help each client obtain results that are meaningful to them. I am huge fan of this wonderful woman!
Wendy's Gentle Therapeutic yoga sessions are fantastic! I suffer from chronic pain due to previous accidents and it is really hard for me to find a class that offers the right balance where I am not in more pain afterwards. She is extremely knowledgeable about the body, movement, mechanics and recovery that her sessions leave me feeling great! Highly receommned!
Found Wendy years ago and have counted my blessings since. She's a fantastic yoga instructor and very in tune with the individual needs of her clients. She lives what she teaches and is an example and great source of information and support for all in our community. Thank goodness for her online courses which have been amazing during the COVID lockdown.
Wendy is a healer who uses yoga as one of her tools. She came highly recommended from several people and I was hooked after one class with her. Wendy continues to help me navigate chronic joint pain, a shoulder injury, stiffness caused by stress and anything else that may crop up during the week from my other activities. Her knowledge of our anatomy is incredible! She makes others feel special and I am blessed to be able to work with her weekly.
Wendy is an angel. I found her after 3 failed rounds of IUI, preparing for IVF. I signed up for her yoga class, not even knowing about her fertility background. After reading her bio, I knew I had to talk to her about my situation, and she invited me to fertility yoga class. She taught me how to be forgiving of my body and how to be accepting of stressors in my life. Most importantly, she taught me patience. After 2.5 months of fertility yoga, I conceived naturally. Wendy was not only my yoga instructor, she is a friend. I will be forever grateful for her role in my life.
Wendy's warm attitude, attention to detail, and incredible wealth of knowledge was a game changer for the way in which I view yoga and its benefits. I am a better person for having had the chance to work with her and am grateful for everything she has taught me!
Wendy changed my life. I came to her with a menstrual cycle that was missing for 2 years. My obgyn recomended a prenatal yoga class. I was skeptical but open. After 4 classes Aunt Flo visited. I was shocked. I adopted yoga as vital part of my wellbeing. Thanks to Wendy.
Wendy is incredible. She has treated both my husband, who thought nothing and no one could help his back, and me, who thought the road to a healthy successful pregnancy was impossible. Boy we’re we both wrong! With Wendy’s help, my husbands back is brilliant and we are now the parents of two brilliant babes. We adore Wendy and are so very grateful for her depth of knowledge and how she uses it to heal, strengthen and empower!
Wendy is so thoughtful and caring - when I work with her I feel I’m in the best of hands. She really takes her time and I leave feeling more grounded emotionally and physically.
Wendy is an amazing heart-felt practitioner who really understands how to support her clients through the ups and downs of all that life hands them - including fertility challenges. Not only does she provide the yoga, but she also provides the education and with love, passion and care. I highly recommend you seek out her services!!
I  know this may sound like an exaggeration, but Wendy truly changed my life.  I learned so much about my body,  my alignment, and how and where I hold stress in my body.   Wendy helped me control my anxiety and find a quiet peace.  Not to mention, she is a complete joy to be around.  She listens with her heart, and really knows her stuff.  I never felt discouraged when I couldn't reach a pose, she always meets people where they are in their practice and reminds everywhere to honor where they are in their practice and in life.  I can't recommend Wendy enough.
Soulful, knowledgeable, present, deeply empathetic. And my wife.
I can not say enough great things about Wendy. We have worked together for a little over three years. I have a very old shoulder injury, working with Wendy is the only therapy that has helped me. I look forward to our sessions and I always feel great after. She was very supportive pre and postnatal as well as during my pregnancy. She was able to create wonderful (Perinatologist approved) sessions even while I was on modified bed rest. She weaves her vast knowedge of anatomy and physiology with spirituality in all our sessions.
I have been working with Wendy for over 7 years. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about the human body and Yoga, she is a special human being. I always feel better after working with Wendy, both physically and mentally. She has a calming and a motivating presence at the same time. A rare combination.
Wendy emits joy, warmth, encouragement and gentle non judgmental guidance. She is always supportive of meeting you where you are physically and guides you to the next place your body is ready for. I love Yoga with Wendy she exudes positivity!
After years of bartending, my body was shot. Between shaking martinis all night and working on cement floors for 8hr shifts, my alignment was terrible and I had chronic shoulder and upper back pain. I eventually got frozen shoulder and was in utter misery. Working with Wendy saved me. She was able to help undo years of poor form, and I finally got relief from my chronic aches. And she was able to help me move my arm again from the frozen shoulder!! I spent a year not being able to raise my arm, and she helped fix that! Wendy is an absolute pro and was able to hone in on what was happening for me very quickly. I can't recommend her enough!
Wendy is an example of a true Yoga. Her cultivated inner peace and kindness is what you feel when she teaches. She truly cares about you as a trusted friend would. She caters to your needs understanding the stresses and weak points of your body. I have seen her work with people of all ages and abilities noting her particular skill with elderly or people with old injuries, She is a gem.
I’ve been taking yoga classes from Wendy for years and over the past several months I have wanted to write a review for Wendy. It’s extremely difficult for me to convey my true gratitude. Wendy is more than just a stand out yoga teacher. She has the gift of helping you find what you need in your yoga practice. I feel incredibly lucky that I have found a teacher that has helped me strengthen my muscles, release all the tension in my body that isn’t serving me, and learn to stop focusing on the thoughts in my mind. What separates Wendy from any other yoga practice you will find is that she cares for her students. She takes the time to listen and learn about you and makes the recommendations that make all the difference. If you ever have the opportunity to learn and practice yoga from Wendy, I strongly recommend doing so.
What I love about Wendy’s style of teaching is her ability to guide you through poses. She describes not only what you should be doing specifically (without looking up) but also what feelings the pose may invoke. She paints a visual in your mind with vivid analogies that cause you to “get” the full benefit of each movement. Wendy also gently corrects and/or adjusts your pose as needed so you know you are getting the full benefit of the pose. In class she speaks clearly so you can even hear her in the way back!! She also sprinkles in a bit of humor when things get too intense. In private instruction, wendy is fully dedicated to your needs and cares about your goals. By far Wendy is the best instructor I’ve ever had and I consider it a real treat when I’m able to attend one of her classes or have some one on one time with her!
I am really impressed with Wendy. I had a bulged disc and was in constant pain. Wendy was very knowledgeable and experienced. She understood exactly what I was going through. She was very skilled in helping me strengthen without further injuring myself. She was caring, empathetic, yet not intimidated by my injury. She is smart, intuitive and very experienced. I loved working with her and I recommend her wholeheartedly! Julie
