Divine Spark Yoga
I am a yoga therapist who helps individuals find strength, balance and ease through awareness and intention.
In 2009, I was diagnosed with a “severe” disc herniation in my low back. I used the practice of specific yoga approaches, therapeutically, to stabilize and manage that injury with no other medical interventions.
Additionally, over the past 15 years I have had the honor to guide and hold the space for hundreds of women moving through the tumultuous roller coaster ride of fertility. I have also been through my own personal bumpy ride on the fertility wagon. After two miscarriages, I conceived my amazing son. My pregnancy with him was not without its challenges, but in the end all was well and I was blessed to have my ‘ideal’ childbirth and delivery. I owe much of my ability to stay calm and trusting of my body to my yoga practice. And that experience drives me to pass that knowledge on through my teaching of fertility, prenatal & postpartum yoga.
Through my personal journey through injury and not feeling great in my body, the practice of yoga became the one modality that not only helped me most but has evolved as I have evolved (and aged).
So it brings me great joy to share the tools of yoga therapy with other individuals in chronic pain, recovering from injury, post-operative rehab and to help build an awareness towards injury prevention. To guide individuals towards a deeper understanding of their body, be curious about their pain and to feel empowered in the knowing that it IS possible to feel better.

Being "flexible" isn't just about the flexibility of our physical body, but also the flexibility of our mind. The practice of yoga includes more than just physical postures. It is an eight-limb "path" that addresses the whole person. Therefore, it is a practice that can be tailored and modified to suit anyone and everyBODY.
