Owner/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
I’m Ricci-Lee Hotz, MS, RDN. My company, A Taste of Health offers individualized (in person and telehealth) Nutrition Counseling and Weight weight management services for a wide range of clientele by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
My nutrition philosophy is unique in that I focus on providing:
-evidence-based, individualized nutrition recommendations focusing on:
-and how to fit patients’ favorite foods into a healthy eating lifestyle
This can improve quality of life for many individuals who feel they must restrict certain foods to be healthy or lose weight.
In addition, I have a special passion for working with individuals with:
-Eating Disorders (including anorexia, bulemia, binge eating disorder, and orthorexia) and body image difficulties in relation to nutrition and food choices
-Gastrointestinal Conditions/food allergies/food sensitivities providing advice on:
-which foods to be eliminated
-which foods can still be eaten
-and necessary supplementation to ensure optimal nutrition status
-Athletes in order to help them reach their maximum, well rounded athletic and performance potential.
(If your condition is not listed, please contact me to see if it is something I work with!)
Nutrition and health have been and continue to be a large passion in my life with helping others with their individual needs as well as my own nutritional needs. Outside of being a dietitian, I am also a professional competitive ballroom dancer and also teach dance; I love trying new healthy, tasty recipes; and of course, enjoy spending time with friends and family!
I look forward to getting to opportunity to work with and help you "improve your quality of life one bite at a time!"
Wishing you the best in health and wellness!
My philosophy of care is providing evidence based, individualized care to help my clients reach their nutrition and health goals through creating a healthy and maintainable lifestyle, develop a healthy relationship with food and body, as well as helping individual with medical conditions manage or resolve their medical conditions through food and activity adjustments.
During your first visit, we will spend an hour and a half together discussing your nutrition, medical, physical activity, and social history as well as your goals and, by then end of the appointment, we will development a tangible plan in order to help you reach your goals. In follow up visits, we will continue clearing up any knowledge gaps, make adjustments, and work on behavioral changes and mindset.
I was inspired to become a Registered Dietitian as I have personally struggled with food intolerances, seen a lot of challenges with weight stigma and eating disorders as an athlete, and have many family members with digestive challenges or medical conditions. I wanted to be able to give people personalized, focused care and time that clients need to help individuals how to include foods healthfully in their life and feel their best without feeling restricted.
