Robin, you know how much of a blessing and inspiration you have been to us during this most difficult journey I am taking.
I recently participated in a Grief Recovery Program facilitated by Robin Gensberg. Robin is supportive, caring, and compassionate; she developed an immediate rapport with every group participant. The members of the group bonded and through discussion were able to help "heal" themselves as well as one another. The reading that accompanied the sessions was soul-searching and moved the sessions along.
Hi. My name is karin and I want to tell you about my experience with robin. I came to see her a few months ago as I had personal troubles and needed her help to cope with certain aspects of my life. I had tried other types of traditional therapy but it did not really help me. Robin truly helped me. I was really welcomed very warmly in her therapy room. We talked a lot. She is a great listener. You can tell she is very kind and interested in the person in front of her. Today I can see and feel results after only 2 sessions. I am looking forward to our next sessions. Hypnosis has been extremely effective. Great technique and what a relaxing journey following her voice :)

About me

www.HarborHypnosis.com
My name is Robin Gensburg, I am the founder of Harbor Hypnotherapy & Healing Life's Losses LLC. I have a Masters in Education as well as a Post Masters in Administration and Supervision. Both degrees have allowed me the opportunity to work in different roles, both as a teacher and as a director. I have worked with many people with very different personalities and different issues they might be dealing with. I have always loved putting on the therapy/coaching hat, helping people solve every issue they might be having. My passion for helping others began and grew over the years.

I have also been schooled in Grief Recovery, through The Grief Recovery Method. In addition, I have been taught and trained to help people through Hypnosis and NLP through The NLP Center of New York and am a certified Reiki1 practitioner.

I am a mother, sister, wife, aunt, friend, teacher, volunteer, and a Grief Recovery Specialist as well as a Hypnotherapist. I take all my roles incredibly seriously. I now have the education and skill set to help people truly find peace and comfort.

Through my own personal story of losing my mom, most of my grandparents, many aunts and uncles, moving and other losses, I can relate to many people dealing with loss. Having had very real, deep-rooted and personal issues, has allowed me to be very sensitive and empathetic to all of my clients. I always wondered how being "too sensitive" would help me in my life. It took a while to realize it has been a special gift to truly embrace what my clients are going through. I care deeply about all my clients, my greatest joy is to see a big smile on their faces. The more smiles I see, the more people I want to help.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

I have multiple master certifications in Hypnosis and NLP. I am also certified in Reiki. I have helped my clients with weight, anxiety, addictions, depression, smoking and pain. I help my clients change negative thought patterns of behavior. I help clients move toward their individual goals, through positive, affective and proven techniques.
My goal is to help my client achieve peace, happiness and gain control over their own thoughts. Grief Recovery Method, Hypnotherapy as well as Reiki are different and powerful modalities for changing an undesirable behavior as well as conquering grief and negative thoughts. My goal is to help my clients feel better! I provide a safe and caring environment. It is so important to let people know, I really want to help them. Trust and safety are crucial.

My Inspiration

There are many health and life benefits of hypnosis therapy. This popular and sometimes misunderstood method of holistic healing helps you create positive results in all aspects of your life.

If thoughts of being hypnotized conjure up images of someone dangling a pocket watch in front of you while chanting: You are getting sleepy, you may want to give this well-documented technique another look.

Hypnotherapy has the potential to help you achieve wellness, such as weight loss, smoking cessation, stress reduction, as well as improve sleep, ease physical an emotional pain and achieve life goals. In addition, I have helped people with addiction, depression and PTSD. Hypnosis and Guided meditation has truly made a difference for the positive in so many people's life. Contact me to learn more about how I can help you with your specific need through this holistic approach.

There is no better time to eat healthy and develop good nutritional habits. The benefits are enormous, including inner strength, better focus, anxiety and stress reduction, strengthened autoimmune system and more. Now is the time to get up and move, go for walks, hikes, biking, running, swimming, dancing. Do whatever you can do to stay strong and keep your body moving, which will also kick in those endorphins and in-turn, will allow you to feel happier and less stressed. Now, is the time to meditate and take a “time out” from all the negative things you are holding on to. Taking just ten minutes a day for yourself can change your life for the better. If you have a hard time relaxing and clearing your mind, google guided meditation or hypnosis to help stress and anxiety. Keeping your mind busy through either working, starting a new hobby, reading a book, or even writing a book. Just don’t give yourself too much time to think about what is going on in the world. Stay away from the news, when at all possible!! The news will destroy every positive thing you are trying to do for yourself. You have got this!! Take nice slow breaths anytime the feeling of stress arises. Nice slow breaths! 2021 can be a positive chance for transformation. It can be a time to learn about yourself and the capability you have within yourself to relax and let go of that stress and anxiety.

While being introverted and experiencing anxiety are not the same thing, anxiety is a common problem for many introverts. Daily life—whether at work, school, or home—means interacting with numerous different people. The constant need to be “on” can leave introverts feeling drained, depleted, and out of mental resources to cope with the stimulation around them. This often manifests as feelings of stress and anxiety. If you’re struggling with anxiety, reaching out to Harbor Hypnosis for therapy is a great starting point. With Robin’s professional assistance, you can overcome issues like sleeplessness, stress eating, and anxiety. You can also keep some handy stress-reduction tools in your arsenal! For example, breathing exercises, yoga, and meditation can be effective strategies for reducing the fight-or-flight reflex that kicks in when we’re anxious. You could also try using CBD oil to manage anxiety, lower stress, and promote relaxation. Although CBD oil is derived from the cannabis plant, it does not contain THC, the psychoactive compound that produces a “high”. Many people take CBD oil, edibles, or capsules to treat chronic pain or anxiety disorders. Removing negative energy from your home is another way to incorporate more relaxation into your life. Your home should be a place where you can recharge from a stressful day, not where you’re forced to confront anxiety-inducing stimuli. To bring some good vibes into your home, do some cleaning, decluttering, and letting in plenty of light and fresh air!

There are many different ways to mentally and emotionally get through a pandemic. I have worked with many clients using different modalities such as hypnotherapy, Tapping and Reiki. It is so important not to have a victim mentality. By having a victim mentality, you will have a very difficult time finding happiness. It is so important to know you, and only you have control over your thoughts and how you control your own thoughts. Hypnotherapy helps change a mindset, changes and helps with your thought patterns. Repetition of positive thoughts and believing in your self is so important. You need to love yourself. You need to know you can break those negative thought patterns, bringing you down. Tapping, also applies changing a negative mindset to a positive mindset.

I met Robin at the Farmers Market and I am so glad I did. Her guided meditation and hypnosis helped my negative mental state so much, leaving me feel more centered and focused throughout my day. Robin you rock!
Robin is absolutely amazing. She’s so caring, kind, and takes the time to understand everything you are going through. She’s a true gem and anyone would benefit from working with her. She is just an angel.
Robin is a very caring and gentle guider, exactly what people need at difficult times in their lives. She helped a dear friend of mine immeasurably by first spending time and comforting her dying mother and then holding my friend's hand and guiding her once her mom did pass. Robin is one of a kind.
Robin runs a solid program for grieving people. As a person certified in the grief recovery method, Robin has acquired the tools from the program, and has learned how to use them to help individuals along the path of grieving. In addition to her caring personality, and passion to help others, she is able to help you through the process. Her space is private, safe, and comfortable also offering an environment that is appropriate and inviting for one to share.
Robin is a wonderful hypnotherapist! She guided me through and provided me with the tools to practice hypnotherapy on my own. I learned so much in just 7 sessions. It is a wonderful experience to learn the art of hypnosis.
Robin Gensburg is an outstanding hynotherapist. She takes the time needed to help you learn how to refocus your brain on positive events in your life. She is very supportive, responsible and compassionate.
I was a participant in Robin's Healing Life's Losses group. From the moment I met Robin, she expressed warmth, comfort and caring support to my specific loss. She has a natural ability to connect to one's grief experience by providing compassion, providing a calm and safe setting to share one's pain, and useful tools to work through the stages of loss. Grief is a journey. Through my experience Robin provided a space for healing --along with kind hearted members of the group where we supported eachother as she initiated meaningful themes to stimulate conversation during each of the sessions.
I never thought I could be hypnotized, but Robin was able to make me feel so comfortable, relaxed, and safe that I was readily able to connect with my thoughts and deep feelings. It was truly such a soothing and calming experience. Robin really makes you feel very comforted and cared for when you work with her.
I went to one of Robin's group hypnotherapy sessions last week with staff members at Calvary Hospital. Everyone in the circle, including myself, seemed to enter a state of pure nirvana as Robin performed different relaxation exercises with us. I highly recommend her services for anyone looking to relax, as her methods ease the mind, allowing many of us to take a breather from our busy, stressful lives.
Robin really knows how to relate and help through hypnosis. I went to Robin because she came highly recommended for weight loss. After 7 sessions I lost weight and feel so much healthier. I am more muscular and lost some inches as a result of eating better and working out. I can't tell you how much Robin has helped me and continues to help me as I listen to her recordings every day.
