As a Certified Therapist for Scoliosis, I customize 1:1 sessions to lengthen, derotate and strengthen to each individual clients’ curves utilizing therapeutic movements and techniques thru ScolioYoga & ScolioPilates for Scoliosis & Back Care to:

Build Strength, Improve Spinal & Joint Alignment, Develop Balance, Alleviate Pain, Increase Lung Capacity
= SCOLIOSIS STRONG!

The program I offer incorporates therapeutic movements and techniques utilizing ScolioYoga/ScolioPilates back care principles which are designed to create both better spinal alignment and health.

And as important as all of that, to calm the central nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) is overactive - a characteristic of scoliosis. We calm this and this will in turn, rewire the brain. Scoliosis starts in the brain.......

This means the 1:1 customized program will work on:
1) myofascial release
2) joint mobility (the muscle can only strengthen fully if the joint is mobile and in alignment).
3) lengthen out of the concavities and derotate the curve pattern(s) thru therapeutic movements and techniques supporting all of this correction within the physical structure,
4) strengthen the muscle group we just lengthened thru ScolioPilates.
5) encompass a practice of rewiring the brain in specific pranayams/breath work and shivasans/zenning out.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit
Our first session together, will be 75 minutes where we will go over the New Client packet paperwork (previously emailed to you) and I will conduct a postural, movement and breath assessment, while also defining joint, pelvic and shoulder alignment. I will be taking pictures that we will review together so you can see what I see. Note: they will not be forwarded anywhere but to you if you so request.

All future sessions will be 60 minutes in length. The second session will be customized given the assessment and we’ll jump right into it when you arrive – no need to access you again.

My goal - to empower you strong to live your best life! And work on habits to break/postural habits to form and empowerment tools that will educate you for your own home practice (your daily life style) to get you out of pain, get better alignment and posture AND get you SCOLIOSIS STRONG for life.

By committing to your own well-being and developing your own personal therapeutic scoliosis practice, you are investing and directing your own healing process. You are choosing to not solely depend upon drugs, doctors or other professionals to heal you. Together we will integrate a stronger "you". Note: this will only be accomplished if you follow the customized formula that is put together for you.
