The worry wouldn't let me sleep.
My beloved family member was deeply in trouble and I was a half a world away. Nothing -- I thought -- could stop the unending chatter of worrisome horror running through my mind.
Something inside me told me to try yoga.
I dedicated 20 minutes a day to myself and within two months that endless chatter of worry had quieted...but something even more substantial was happening...years worth of trauma (both physical and mental) where slowly healing themselves. As a professional Big Mountain skier and guide, my athleticism had given me the idea that I knew my body. But yoga showed me that I had much to learn. And to heal.
Fast forward nearly two decades and yoga has helped me to surmount many health and emotional challenges. From working through the damage caused by bulimia in my teens to healing the trauma caused by impropriety as a child, from healing major head trauma and a broken neck to surmounting a devastating injury that kept me from walking, from moving beyond domestic violence that existed in the majority of my adult love relationships to discovering the source of a deep sadness, yoga has been my guiding light. That true force of wellness that has helped me through the dark times in life.
This gift of life that yoga has given me is the reason that I am a Yoga Therapist.

From the first moment we work together, the focus is on discovering your healthiest you. We will begin by looking at you as a whole person, instead of the label of your disease, helping you to uncover the underlying cause of why the issue is happening. From that place we will create, together, a customized healing plan, utilizing methods of healing that strengthen the brain, nervous system and your overall sense of wellbeing, empowering you in finding your healthiest, happiest self.
After over a decade of doing daily yoga and seeing how it had helped heal so many different aspects of my life that other modalities couldn't help, I decided I wanted to become a healing professional.
Having worked in the massage industry, I already felt a calling to help people heal, but integrating those healing principles with the tools and techniques that is yoga therapy, helped me to see that this approach can assist a person in all ways and is available to them anytime, anywhere
