Meeting with Sharon as a health coach helped me understand that taking care of ME is important–physically, emotionally & spiritually. I learned to pay attention to the ingredients in and production of the food I eat. For example, I buy organic, local natural food whenever possible, and if foods contain high fructose corn syrup, chemicals whose names I can’t read or pronounce, high sugar content, or allergens, I avoid them. My husband recently discovered that he is gluten intolerant, so this also drove my food shopping agenda, and Sharon helped me locate stores and products to address this special diet. I looked forward to our monthly meetings, which I considered “girlfriend chats,” where Sharon shared helpful, educational, beneficial information with me. I enjoyed the conversational approach, and she was never pushy or demanding. We also had time to check in on each other’s lives. I appreciate Sharon’s holistic approach to health. It’s not just the food you put in your body, it’s how you are feeling emotionally, spiritually, if you like your job, are you having family problems, what brings you joy, and what are your dreams and goals. I learned about body types, blood type and diet, metabolism rates, and ayurvedic approaches to healthy living.. Even though I originally wanted Sharon to help me with my diet, she helped me in many other ways, as well. I joined a gym at the same time I began meeting with Sharon, and she helped me understand the importance of resistance (weight) training, not just aerobic exercise. Because of what I have learned from Sharon, I am interested in working to change our current food production system (buy local, buy organic; investigate big business driving our cheap, unhealthy food production). Sharon has pointed me in the direction of better overall health, and I am grateful for this.
I sought Sharon’s help to get on track with my health. She quickly helped me realize that there was deeper work to be done. Sharon brilliantly guided me to release some “old stuff” that was keeping me from feeling confident, capable, and excited to move forward. Sharon listens really well and is able to help me make sense of the many thoughts I have. She always seemed to know exactly what to do, say, or ask to help me move forward. I highly recommend that anyone looking for more clarity, motivation, and personal growth coach with Sharon.
For years, I would get up in the morning feeling groggy and sluggish. I always chalked it off to the hypothyroidism I was diagnosed with years early and “not being a morning person”. After having a hysterectomy as a result of cancer, the weight packed on quicker than usual. I did not like the way I looked or how I felt and certainly did not want to get cancer again. I looked at different diet plans and talked to a few nutritional consultants; all required buying prepackaged foods and supplemental nutritional products. Believing that God our creator naturally provided what our bodies need on this earth, I was determined to find something that would work with my body’s science, something that was personally geared towards what my metabolism needed. At last, Eatwell Consulting. From my first conversation with my personal nutrition coach, I knew immediately this is what I was looking for. It was awkward at first to spend an hour talking about me, but it was therapeutic and I always walked away from our sessions feeling educated, more understanding of how my body was working, and what I needed to be doing to provide it with what it needed – I felt empowered. I was introduced to foods I had never heard of, but could find in my every day super market. I learned to cook healthier, tried new foods and within two weeks, I was waking up in the morning not feeling groggy and sluggish. I was actually feeling clear and awake. I noticed other changes over time as well, no longer the 3 pm nap feeling and no longer was getting heartburn. People were even starting to comment on my complexion, which surprised me. But it wasn’t just food and exercise my coach and I discussed, it was all areas of my life – relationships, work, finances, education, my spirit – all things that encompass the circle of life that allowed me to find that balance I was looking for. My nutrition coach looked at the whole person, not just food – all the while sold me nothing. Today the weight is slowly coming off and my health is good. Yes, I still have some weight to loose and some days I falter, but like the story of the Tortoise and the Hare, I am moving forward, slow and steady, empowered with knowledge and tools to live a healthier me. Knowledge is power and change does start from within, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. One conversation did indeed change my life and I will be forever grateful. Thank you Sharon Fraser and thank you Eatwell Consulting.

About me

Health Coaching

The Power of Intention… led to my Transformation.

I was born in Kingston, Jamaica and migrated to the United States at age 21. It was drilled into me as a child that education is the path to success, so I continued my education first at the school for Television Arts (slight detour) then to Pace University to study accounting. I moved to Pennsylvania and continued my education and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and my Masters in Business Administration. I sat and passed the CPA exam and continued my education to become A Certified Control Assessor (CCSA). Still, I was not satisfied. I wanted to chart my own course by making my life to be more about serving others.

As a child I always played school and knew deep inside I wanted to teach, I was also very passionate about the food I ate and my exercise, but did not see how I could combine it all. My ‘Ah Ha!’ moment came when I turned 50. I was restless; I wanted to spend my next half century doing something I loved. I found it while in Barnes and Noble getting reading material for my trip to Costa Rica in a magazine called “Good”. It was the first item that caught my eye, an ad about becoming a Health Coach from Integrative Nutrition(IIN). It spoke to my core and started me on this journey of service to others as a Certified Health Coach. The journey continued as I expanded my knowledge of trying to understand the reasons why making healthy choices can be so challenging for individuals. The continued quest to find answers, about creating change, lead to certifications as a Transformational Coach as well as a Master Coach in addressing habit change. I continue to learn and grow! I have my own Coach who stretches me to be the best I can be. I am humbled by how fulfilling this work is and how coaching changes lives. My primary goal now is to assist you in finding the best, healthy version of yourself.

Transformational Coaching

What is Transformation? It is a series of letting go so that new views, ideas, beliefs, and habits can take form that is more in line with your Desired State (DS). Letting go of the irrational meanings that are placed on prior events that in many cases, individuals were too young to understand or navigate: yet the meaning that was imprinted is still a part of the decision making process today. It is those thoughts, feelings, habits, beliefs and attitudes that are pervasive in the decision process that precludes change and in most cases accepted as un- reversible truths. Transformational Coaching is the process of rewriting those un-truths so that decisions now align with the version of you that you want to be. It is not magic, it takes work but it is so transformative, result oriented and rewarding.

As a Health Coach I have chosen to specialize in assisting individuals with Type 2 Diabetes or those who are Pre-Diabetic to naturally reverse this disease so that they can live a long and healthy life and reduce or eliminate the dependency on drugs.

Thank you Sharon. You truly made a difference with your amazing coaching. You truly changed the way I see life in general. That led to me making better choices in the way I ate and took care of myself. I've been on a healthy lifestyle since meeting with you. I appreciate everything you did. You are truly amazing at what you do. My top three goals upon starting the 6-month program Was to lose weight, eat healthy, and like the way I look in clothes. Sharon provided worksheets and various exercises that helped me develop a plan to reach my goals. Sharon made sure that my goals were attainable. Mentally, Sharon provided a sense of comfort. She has a way of talking to people that feels as if she soothes your soul. Each session was different and it allowed me to stay focus throughout the program because each time we did something different. My eating habits have changed tremendously. I actually became a vegetarian. I’m more conscious about what I eat. I also consume a lot less sugar. Before I started the program, I would consume sugar daily, whether it was donuts or some other form of pastry. I’ve noticed that I don’t crave sugar as much as I used to. Before I started the program being a vegetarian was not one of my goals. I noticed as the weeks passed, I felt I had more knowledge to make productive changes in my life. Thanks to this program, I have made a decision that I am very proud of. I feel healthier and more energetic. There are not enough words to describe my Coach Sharon such a beautiful person. She is a person of integrity and values that she will never compromise. She sees the beauty in others even when they can’t see it themselves. Her smile is contagious. There were many times that I went into the session stressed out from the day and she immediately knew what to say to make me forget. Her perspective of life is refreshing. She has amazing ideas of how to live life to the fullest. She is an amazing listener. She was more helpful to me than she’ll ever know. She has truly transformed my life. Anyway, I could go on and on about how amazing she is. She is beautiful inside and out. I would recommend my coach to anyone who wants to change his or her life around. She is like sunshine on a rainy day. I truly believe that she is the type of person that can bring out the best in other people. She truly made a difference in my life. So many great things happened to me because of Sharon. I am a vegetarian, I lost weight, I have more energy, I’m more conscious about what I eat, but the best part is that I made a new friend. Everything would be better if more people were like you! Thank you so much for everything you did for me.
Sharon is a dynamic and charismatic coach. She helped me kick my sugar addition and refocus my eating habits. I highly recommend her to all of you who would like to live a healthier lifestyle.
