My Philosophy of Care

I am inspired by many philosophies, resonating most with Eastern practices. My number one approach with clients and my own healing is embodiment and integration, so that you may lovingly know yourself. From here, we can collaborate with Spirit. Goals can be set, and life lived intentionally and consciously. We are wildly creative beings, and I am here to help us live from the heart and be in Love with all we do, for self, other, and the planet.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Settling, feeling secure, and reassurance to be yourself. Intention-setting. We clarify your situation, desires, and intentions, so that we can focus on your healing journey. Your story is important but for transformation and long-lasting change to happen you will embody your healing and change with body-centered practices such as breathwork, mindfulness, trauma resolution, Somatic Experiencing, Role Play Somatics, movement, goal-setting, energywork, and more.

My Inspiration

I was initially motivated by my own illness and healing, encouraged by how holistic medicine and bodywork healed me when Western medicine could not. Trauma healing therapies, Craniosacral Therapy, birth healing, yoga, and spiritual practice helped me become a better person than I was before my trauma. After three decades of practice I am still amazed by the gift of the body and nature to heal. My mission: guide others to awaken to the heart, embody, and heal with the wisdom of the body.

Questions & Answers

Everyone! Food and balanced nutrition is life! How we treat our body and what we put inside our body is reflected on the outside in what our current life looks like. All illness, disease, imbalance, or injury can be healed with nature which is stronger than any human invention. With time, patience, and the correct influences, life can begin to FEEL better, regardless of what pharmaceutical companies and advertisements tell us. Congratulations for taking the courageous steps to really start healing, rather than dealing simply with symptoms. Go for the long-term gain instead of short term solutions. Nutrition counseling with a planned approach from a skilled integrative practitioner is one way to go.

Thank you for being courageous and sharing your challenge. Go easy on yourself, first and foremost. Rome wasn't built in a day, and it takes time and patience, perseverence too, to establish new habits. Perhaps take a look at whether you are working too hard toward your goal, overriding another important internal issue or value? Or perhaps your original intention and goal needs some revamping and upgrading to match who you are now? Acknowledge your difficulty and give it your full attention and kindness: Empathy, the way you would give your friend some empathy if they were having difficulty with something. Having good resources to walk your path and keep you accountable to yourself are super important along the way. Best to you and many blessings! Congratulations for taking steps to improve yourself.

This is an important question, especially now in these times. Calming the nervous system is the first step to healing PTSD but not the crucial step. Consistent body-centered therapy practices such as Craniosacral Therapy, Healing Touch, acupuncture, Somatic Experiencing-style Counseling, and hypnosis, in time, heal PTSD for life-long change. My life was changed dramatically by Craniosacral Therapy in particular, after a brain injury from a car accident. In fact, this therapy helped me be better than I was even before the accident. Any therapist who has done their own trauma healing is most effective at addressing others'. Choose a practitioner who can sit with you and be centered, with deep listening and empathy, regardless of how intense you feel and express yourself. :)
