I know Susan for more than 15 years. She is very knowledgeable. She really knows every part of human body. If you have a pain or an injury in any part of your body she knows a pose that will help you to heal your body. You will feel very relaxed and joyful after each yoga session that you have with Susan! Susan style is a mixture of gentle, restorative, and meditative yoga. I came back to yoga about 4 years ago and started back with her. She built up my strength to move on to flow and high flow; however, I still take her class once a week and look forward to my hour with Susan. I recommended her to a friend that needed a yoga therapist after a heart attach, and she had him moving much faster after few months. My older sister who is 73 years old and never like to work out, accepted a gift of monthly lessons with Susan; she is now her regular client and loves yoga!

Throughout the practice she observes everyone and gives adjustments and alternative poses when necessary. Her experience and knowledge as a yoga therapist provides a deeper insight into the anatomy and how certain movements can help heal problem areas. one of the things I always look forward to are her inspirational quotes at the beginning and end of the session. She is always professional and yet very personable and keeps the class at ease with her great sense of humor. I know I have gained greater flexibility, strength (especially the abs) and balance since participating in classes and always come away feeling relaxes and stress free in body and mind. I highly recommend Susan's classes whatever your level.

About me

Susan E. Raglin is a L.M.U. Yoga Rx teacher, has her Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 Hours , is a Certified Prime of Life teacher with the Samata International Yoga Center, and is a Certified Yoga Therapist with The International Association of Yoga Therapists. C- IAYT
She has over 35 years experience teaching in Los Angeles and has worked with such clients as DreamWorks and Esalen Retreat Center,

My Philosophy of Care

After being a professional dancer and having my own Dance Company in my youth, I sustained many injuries. I got re introduced to Yoga and used it to help heal and deal with chronic pain. Since then I have become a Yoga therapist. I love to help people help themselves.

.Most people don't know the difference between regular Yoga and Yoga Therapy. It is much more detailed and adaptive. Allowing each individual to create their own program that is suited to their own special needs. I tell students to think of Yoga Therapy being like physical therapy, but with a spiritual focus and attention to the breath.

I highly recommend Susan. She is a truly wonderful yoga teacher! I made incredible progress in her classes. I came in very stiff and out of shape after a long illness. I could barely move. In a safe and supportive environment, I slowly gained crucial strength, flexibility and confidence. It took time, but I am transformed. In fact, when I do my own practice at home, which I often do, I practice the poses and sequences that she taught to me. Thank you Susan. You’re the best!
Two years ago I had my first experience taking Yoga with Susan. It was a few months after my spinal stenosis surgery and I decided to try her class. I loved it from the beginning and noticed an immediate improvement in my condition and I am now taking - and truly enjoying - her class twice a week. Susan is a wonderful and very attentive teacher who cares about every one of her students.
I started taking yoga classes with Susan in 2016.. I had been dealing with chronic pain on my left IT band and hip pain from many years of running. At the beginning of her classes she checks in with each student as to what is bothering them. As the class commences, she gives you options for your current issues. Her gentle and stretch classes have tremendously helped me with the chronic pain. She dedicates her classes to stretch and treat all parts of your body. I no longer experience chronic pain, just soreness. I also enjoy her motivational quotes before class and at the end of class. I highly recommend her. I have taken classes with many other yoga Instructors, but Susan is my favorite.
I just LOVE Susan!!! I found her in 2008, brand new to yoga and nervous. I had the flexibility of a cinder block and thought “this is never going to work for me...”. Well, I was wrong, wrong, wrong. Susan is the best, she meets her clients on their path, it’s not about her, or ego. I found flexibility, and relief for a bad hip and and SI joint that is sometimes uncooperative. When I became a massage therapist I incorporated some of Susan’s teaching into my practice, and it has been wonderful. Can’t recommend her high enough, would give her more stars of that was an option.
Susan is incredibly knowledgeable and more than willing to share her expertise. With humor and kindness, she will teach her clients to modify and accommodate their own physical issues to make the best use of their exercise time, build fitness, calm the mind and, along the way, perhaps decrease the need for those accommodations. My highest recommendation.
Susan is knowledgeable, sympathetic and consistent in her yoga therapy practice. I’ve enjoyed our relationship for many years and have great physical health thanks to Susan!

Susan Raglin’s Yoga Therapy class is a gift on so many levels! From my first class with her I was impressed by the way she connects with each of her students. Her class is designed for those with injuries or physical limitations. Before each class she checks in with each of us to ask what we are dealing with on that day. Her attention and genuine interest always makes me feel valued and cared for.
