I provide holistic support to people struggling with chronic stress and burnout or that are feeling physically and mentally drained and are seeking guidance in living a healthier, more vibrant life.
I became a Functional Nutritional Therapy and a Restorative Wellness Practitioner in 2019 after having experienced in my own life the positive effects of replacing ultra processed foods for nourishing whole foods. I have an innate curiosity for understanding the natural world which drove me to become a Biologist and pursue graduate education in science. However, the rigorous academic life combined with my tendency to somatize my emotions, put a toll on my health and wellbeing for many years resulting in chronic digestive symptoms, constant illness, hormonal imbalances, and mood disorders.
One day, I came across the paleo diet and decided to give it a try. I couldn’t believe the transformation! My digestive symptoms disappeared, my periods became regular, I was sleeping like a baby and my mind was clear and sharp. I also lost 10 pounds in one month without starving. In fact, I was eating a lot of very delicious food.
This made me realize that the power to change is in my own hands and compelled me to share all I have learned to guide others in their own path to health.
My approach is to offer a holistic and personalized plan based on a nutrient-dense whole food diet, paired with a balanced lifestyle that adapts to my client’s needs. My goal is for my clients to feel in control of their lives so they can sleep better, be focused, productive and centered, and reignite their vitality and passion for all the things they used to enjoy in life.
We are not only what we eat but what we can absorb from our food. This is why beyond diet, I focus on optimizing your digestion, reducing chronic stress and inflammation and balancing your blood sugar and I integrate stress management, exercise and movement, and sleep hygiene recommendations. I believe health is not a goal but a continuous journey and I teach my clients tools to not only maintain their health but to build a more resilient self, able to overcome the multiple challenges of life.
In the first 90-min. visit we will review your health and family history as well as your dietary and lifestyle habits in detail. We will discuss your health concerns and goals, and your motivations and roadblocks for change. Based on this, you will receive personalized dietary and lifestyle recommendations to implement until your next visit. I might also recommend the support of practitioner-grade nutritional or herbal supplements and evaluate the need to order specialized functional testing.
We live in an Era loaded with artificial products and false solutions to achieve prosperity and happiness and yet, we are sadder, sicker, and lonelier than ever. I became a wellness professional because I truly believe there is another way. Our bodies have an innate capacity to heal and remain healthy if we give them the right nourishment and care. By learning from the wisdom of our ancestors and going back to our essence, we have the potential to transform our bodies, our health and the planet
