Dr McCracken graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1987 with a BA in Biochemistry. He attended UTHSCSA and graduated in 1993 with his dental degree. As a student, he recieved 2 AADR research fellowships and published research articles on bone wound healing, morphogenic proteins and activated Vitamin D. After graduation, he bought a practice in North East Texas and move it into the technological age. In 1997, he bought his first laser and air abrasion unit so as to treat gums with light and do fillings without shots or drills. By 2000, he had obtained his Mastership Certification with the Academy of Laser Dentistry and became an educator. In 2003, he became an instructor for the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry where he still serves today. He has been influenced by some of the best and brightest biological dentist in the country. He has incorporated new technology and materials to eliminate the need for fluoride or amalgam and provide a much more patient friendly environment and experience. He is most interested in treating the whole patient with the aid of other specialties from a holistic point of view. The ultimate goal is a naturally healthy and happy patient!
