Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist & Polarity Therapist
Elements & Tides: Where Body Meets Soul
I love what I do. I have been doing energy-based bodywork since 1995. What I love about my work is . . . . . everything.
First, I love people. That simple. Doing a session means I get to witness and appreciate the essential brilliance of the person who has just come through my door. That brilliance always amazes me. I know this person has found me because, at some deep level, he or she is choosing to change. Even if the desired change is fairly simple --- to resolve a headache or relax tight shoulders --- the decision to work with me, a stranger who is doing a style of healing they might not have heard of, takes courage. I respect that. I do not take it lightly.
Second, I love my work. Using hands-on touch to engage with the human energy field is a perfect fit for me. I am made for this work in some way I do not fully understand. I also am well trained, much experienced, and endlessly fascinated by what occurs.
Third, I love being part of something bigger. That something bigger is the Intelligence and Health that are present within each person, no matter how awful they feel or distressed they are when they arrive. My job is to listen for the Intelligence and Health. That may sound kind of woo-woo and vague. I assure you it is not. It is fine that I am very good at what I do, but it is the Intelligence and Health that are really doing the work. I am a necessary and indispensable assistant. Gratefully so.
I could go on, but will finish by sharing a few things about my background and training.
I am certified through the International Affiliation of Biodynamic Trainings and the American Polarity Therapy Association. This means I have completed more than 750 hours of training in both Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Polarity Therapy, both of which awakened in me a sense of awe in who and what we are. And we are miraculous, awesome!
In addition to seeing clients, I taught Introduction to Polarity Therapy at the Colorado School of Healing Arts for 16 years. I also have assisted three 50-day, professional-level training programs in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy at the Colorado School of Energy Studies.
I love teaching. In fact, I love it so much that I also offer a workshop, Embodying Your Possibilities. It is for anyone who is ready to create deliberately and with intention, whether that means making changes in their lives, finding ways to experience greater enjoyment in life as it is, or beginning a new project with confidence and enthusiasm. This workshop is a joy for me because I love sharing and playing with the concepts of deliberate creation. For more information, see Embodying Your Possibilities Workshops.
Long before I began my career in the healing arts, I received a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Colorado and worked as a technical writer and editor for 20 years.
