Linda is wonderful. I had the pleasure of being led in meditation and was blown away by the emotional stirring. She reminded me my mind is a "time traveler" and that I should be grateful for its abilities....and also remember to give it a break. I'm excited to try her direct neurofeedback too!
Linda recently led our company through a guided meditation and breathwork. It was a truly beautiful experience that left me feeling at peace, but also invoked some emotion during the process that I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend working with her again!
I have had the pleasure to know, and practice with Linda for many years. Linda's gentle approach to yoga is truly eye opening, showing us that the practice is beneficial and available to everyone, not just for those with a fit body. Her compassion is limitless and contagious, encouraging you to love yourself just as you are. I highly recommend working with Linda.

Direct Neurofeedback
Recognizing how vital it is to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself and work toward optimal health and wellness, direct neurofeedback is an additional service being offered when working with clients to strengthen their body-mind connection and support their journey of exploration, growth and ultimately transformation. Direct neurofeedback is a painless, non-invasive, completely safe and fast acting treatment that is effective at treating symptoms of a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and developmental trauma, and panic attacks without drugs.

Body-based psychotherapy
I know it can be scary to reach out for help, especially in a culture that tells us we should be able to solve our problems on our own and, if we can’t, there is something wrong with us. Well, I’m here to challenge that culture that values independence more than interdependence, because as humans we are designed to be connected with others in relationships. And sometimes the first relationship that needs our focused attention is the one we have with ourselves in order to ‘show up’ in our relationships with others. You might consider psychotherapy if you have a sense that the quality of your life is not what you would like it to be and you have tried other approaches to improving your quality of life, but nothing else seems to be creating the change you desire. You may be successful in managing problems, but may still wonder if there is more to life than simply moving from one problem to the next. And, as you are managing your problems, if you feel a sense of overwhelm that seems to linger longer than you would like or leads you to procrastinate in addressing your problems until they build up and can no longer be ignored, psychotherapy might be an approach that can help bring a deeper felt sense of inner peace and joy even as you manage problems. Below is a list of some situations when psychotherapy can be helpful if you: Struggle to accept and love yourself Desire to increase your understanding of your purpose in life Are unable to let go and forgive (yourself and/or others) Would like to increase your ability to experience compassion (for yourself and others) No longer want to feel responsible for everything Want to increase your emotional intelligence Would like to feel more self-worth without having to be perfect Considering psychotherapy does not mean there is something wrong with you. This approach to healing is sought out by people with everyday problems looking to improve their life proactively similar to how people go to see their primary care physician for wellness visits preventively.

About me

Hi, I’m Linda Crossley and I feel blessed and honored to help others move away from a life of fear, isolation, guilt, shame, and dis-ease, toward a life full of love, connection, compassion, meaning, and health. I work from a holistic, systems, and relational therapeutic arts perspective, integrating Eastern and Western philosophies and tools such as direct neurofeedback, psychotherapy, trauma-informed yoga and meditation, to facilitate healing, transformation, and wellbeing.

Beyond my integrated approach to healing, I believe what makes me unique as a holistic health provider is my level of presence, compassion, acceptance, and gratitude when working with my students and clients. I find myself captivated by the experiences of my clients, which continuously energizes my desire to relieve their suffering and help guide them toward their goals, while feeling honored and blessed to be able to create safe, sacred space for them to voice their greatest fears and explore their shadow side in order to work through those obstacles and integrate and accept all aspects of themselves. I am regularly reminded of the strength and resiliency of the human spirit when I deeply listen to my clients’ responses to life challenges, which is the source of all hope.

My Philosophy of Care

I built my business around my personal belief in our innate human ability to heal from past traumas, and in post-traumatic growth, without the need for prescription drugs, as I have done it myself!

I truly believe that there is nothing wrong with us and instead know that it is what happened to us that creates a sense of disconnection. All of our troubling behaviors and thoughts are simply symptoms of trauma. It is from this deep understanding that I was initially inspired to become a wellness professional and continues to provide me with daily inspiration to show up and be fully present as I support others on their healing journeys.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

The words I most often hear my students and clients use to describe their first class or visit include calming, relaxing, soothing, and grounding.

My Inspiration

Every cell, organ, and system in the body has an optimum, healthy frequency or harmonious rate of vibration, also known as resonance. Illness occurs when some part or parts are not vibrating harmoniously with itself or other parts as a whole, known as dissonance. Crystal bowls resonate akin to universal love, spirit, and source. The vibrational sounds produced as the bowls are played facilitate healing by working to resolve any dissonance in the body and creating harmonious resonance. In other words, the healing benefits of a crystal bowl sound bath occur by modulating the body’s vibrations, moving dissonance towards resonance, bringing any vibrating object to vibrate in harmony with the vibrational sounds of the bowls or to match the rate of vibration of the bowls.

Some of the outward signs the body will reflect to show movement away from dissonance and toward resonance include (but are not limited to) increased heart rate variability, reduced muscle tension and anxiety, and improved sleep.

Questions & Answers

Sanctuary for Compassion and Connection Answers
As a yoga teacher, you might expect me to tell you that meditation is the answer. And, although meditation has absolutely been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety, many people who suffer from anxiety get anxious just thinking about the idea of meditation. Instead, non-invasive brain stimulation (i.e., direct neurofeedback) might bring more immediate relief of symptoms, creating space in the mind to contemplate meditation and even begin to practice it! As someone whose nervous system tends to lean towards anxiety, my yoga practice including but not limited to pranayama, meditation and self-inquiry has brought me much peace over years of practice. Yet, when chaos would begin to brew as it will and I would begin to feel a sense of overwhelm, I would greet my fear all over again, like a familiar (yet not comfortable) old friend. I wondered if all of my body-mind-spirit practices would ever be enough to soothe my root chakra to the point of simply accepting fear for what it is – an early warning system meant to guide me to safety. It wasn’t until I experienced direct neurofeedback that I sensed that shift in my relationship with fear. I came to understand that trying to train the mind when the brain is caught in a deeply patterned dysfunctional loop can only do so much to soothe my nervous system and create new neural connections. Operating from the conscious mind, we quickly discover that making the unconscious conscious is really hard heart work! Awareness brings understanding and understanding creates an opportunity for choice, yet our unconscious mind can throw so many barriers up to prevent such awareness for fear of breaking our hearts. When we can work with the body directly – specifically the brain – we can address the root source of the problem, circumventing the barriers of the mind while supporting the body’s self-healing abilities. For anyone that has tried acupuncture, this idea may sound familiar. By soothing the fear centers in the brain, the mind begins to notice space where there was none before. Space to consider our experiences (past and present) in a new light with a new perspective. And when we venture into those places of fear, such as chaos, we have a greater capacity and ability to stand in our own power and not get swept up in that sense of overwhelm. From this place of power, we being to experience a greater sense of connection, to our authentic self as well as to the larger collective consciousness, realizing we are not alone. When we truly can accept that ‘we are not alone’ into our belief system and we add ‘interdependence’ and compassion to our value system, the fears of uncertainty and unpredictability that underlie anxiety can be replaced with equanimity. With the help of direct neurofeedback, I no longer found myself plagued by the belief that independence is the source of happiness, where shame is abundant when asking for help or support, or the thoughts around needing to be perfect in order to be acceptable and loved, which drove me to exhaustion. Direct neurofeedback appeared to create space in my mind for new beliefs and values much more quickly than psychotherapy and/or yoga alone. Recent research on non-invasive brain stimulation such as direct neurofeedback in generalized anxiety disorder is beginning to explain such results.

Linda is one of the most exceptional teachers I have had the gift of training with. She is not only patient and compassionate in her energy and presence, she has an authentic and creative way of delivering information and teaching from the heart. Extremely knowledgeable in ALL areas of the beautiful art of Yoga, she went above and beyond just covering traditional aspects, including mindfulness, meditation, sutras, professionalism and grace. I highly recommend her for those who are looking for an exceptional holistic yoga training and experience.
Linda offers wonderful guided meditations. I left feeling grounded and with a sense of peace. Highly recommend!
Linda provided Direct Neurofeedback to me at the peak of my stress and grief. She creates such a safe space for healing and the neurofeedback treatments are not only painless and easy to receive, but also provided the clarity of mind and increased rest that I needed.
I met my dear Yoga Guru (Teacher) and Mentor, Linda Crossley, many, many years ago for my 6-month Yoga Teaching Training in Huntington Beach, California. The moment I met her, I intuitively knew we would have a very beautiful and special spiritual connection. This is exactly what happened by the grace of the Universe. Linda was and is one of the most compassionate, empathetic, affectionate, loving, kind, genuine, honest and beautiful souls I know. I fondly remember how she would so patiently guide all of us students throughout the complicated, yet fascinating world of human anatomy, yoga alignment, deep breathwork (pranayama) and meditation. Personally and spiritually, I have grown and continue to grow so much as not just a spiritual being, but as a woman becoming more and more comfortable in my own skin. For this, I have Linda to deeply thank, which to this very day in the year of 2020, whenever we get to communicate via phone or email, she still lovingly guides me to genuinely, unabashedly love and celebrate my (own) authentic self. This is the reason why I was never surprised when she pursued Psychotherapy in conjunction with Yoga and Reiki Energy Healing. It is like she was born to do this. Linda is the world's best and most compassionate listener, as well healer. How much she has been and is a part of my sacred healing journey is incredible. She never seizes to amaze me. I am positive that many of her other students and clients feel the same way about her. The abundance of waterfall compassion in her good, pure heart is boundless. Linda Crossley is the ideal Yoga Teacher, Yoga Teaching Trainer, Psychotherapist and Healer all rolled in one. Any student of hers, any client of hers was, is and will always be so blessed to have her be a part of their sacred healing journey in whichever path they choose, be that through yoga or therapy or energy healing. I am so proud to say that I am one of them. Thank you so much, beautiful Linda, for all you have done and do for me. My depth of gratitude has no bounds. You truly are a very special and beautiful soul in every way. May all the world's love, light, abundance and beauty kiss your feet, evermore by the grace of the Universe.
Linda, since the day I met you, you’ve been a blessing for me. The work I’ve doing with you changed my life! You are a beautiful, nurturing soul that anyone would be so lucky to meet. You helped me with accepting myself, with healing my childhood trauma, my anxiety, and so much more. I am grateful to have met you, and to still work with you. The world needs more people like you. In gratitude, DM
