Hi! My name is Annie. I love helping my autoimmune warriors because I am one too. When I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I was told that diet couldn't help me heal. That could not be farther from the truth. I have used both nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve my joint pain, fatigue and quality of life. Now I use all of my knowledge from my own experience plus evidence-based treatments and biomedical testing to help my clients get their lives back.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Masters in Nutritional Science from San Jose State University. I also completed my clinical training at Stanford Hospital. I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area and see clients in person and virtually.
Nutrition is not a one size fits all approach. Every client and every condition is different, so the treatment plan for each client can vary greatly. I strongly believe that we can improve autoimmune and inflammatory conditions using both food and lifestyle changes. However, change is hard. I consider my client's lifestyle and current situation to make sure they can be successful in reaching their goals.
In the first visit we will discuss your entire health history. From there, we will develop a treatment plan to help you start feeling better. This may include additional testing, or changes to your eating pattern. When clients leave their first session, they feel empowered to embark on their healing journey. They also feel very supported and understood.
Throughout my life, many doctors threw medications at me for conditions that could be easily improved with small changes to my diet. I have used diet and lifestyle to improve my own health, and I want to pass that knowledge on to others. Many conditions can be improved by simply changing our diet, reducing stress and getting better quality sleep.
