About me
About me
Avery received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma, and his PhD in Counseling Psychology from Texas Tech University. After completing his post-doctoral work in neuro-rehabilitation, Avery became the Director of Behavioral Medicine at Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital in Melbourne, Florida. Avery then assisted with a federally funded PTSD program for Vietnam Veterans, established a private practice, and taught at Florida Institute of Technology. Avery then moved to the Kansas City area to become the Director of Mental Health at a Community Health Center.
