I love empowering patients to understand their bodies and discover the power of living medicine and many modalities within the healing arts.
Dr. Cora Stover is a dedicated practitioner and teacher of naturopathic medicine. Dr. Stover began her herbal education as she worked as a professional gardener learning how to grow, tend and help plants thrive; as well as, a barista blending teas for ailments. From there she attended Arizona School of Massage Therapy. Dr. Stover attended Salem State University where she paved the way for other students to obtain a degree in biology termed: “Biomedical Sciences” with minors in chemistry and Spanish. While attending school Dr. Stover continued her self education in herbs and plants with extra trainings with NOFA (an organic farming group), as well as working as a massage therapist. She continues to help her naturopathic community by writing test items for NPLEX, the entrance exam all accredited programs use for licensure.
At the University of Bridgeport, Dr. Stover completed her studies as a Naturopathic Doctor with rotations in Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Cancer, Gastroenterology, Generative Medicine, Mental Health & Hygiene, Homeopathy, and Physical Medicines. Her thesis was based on how our microenvironments, byproducts along with the microbials living within and around us effect our overall health.
As a general practitioner of naturopathic medicine, Dr. Stover enjoys seeing and helping people with a variety of conditions. Dr. Stover believes medicine needs to be accessible to all those who need and want it. Dr. Stover is licensed in the state Connecticut.
I got into medicine because the typical medical model wasn't serving people, but kept them sick. I enjoy seeing my patients get well, feel heard, and learn about who they really are and what they were meant to be.
its really the third visit where they notice the differences... the first visit is all about them, they typically feel that I covered a lot of information, and they feel heard, the second visit is when we review laboratory work, and they start to understand what their body is doing why they are getting the plan they are.
try it, you deserve it.
My inspiration for doing what I am is basic. The typical model doesn't serve people to get well. It keeps them sick, or worse - kills them years prior than their true time.
