Dr. Barbara Bartlik is a psychiatrist in private practice in Manhattan who is rated as one of New York Magazine's Best Doctors. She has been in practice for more than 30 years. Dr. Bartlik is a recognized authority in integrative medicine, psychiatry, and sexual health. She treats men, women and couples with depression, anxiety, and a range of psychiatric issues and relationship problems, sexual dysfunction, hormonally-related concerns, weight management issues, and those seeking to strengthen general health and wellness. Dr. Bartlik graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hartford in 1977, and with honors from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1981, where she studied neurology with the late Dr. Oliver Sacks. She completed her psychiatry residency, chief residency, and research fellowship at New York University Medical Center / Bellevue Hospital (now NYU Langone Health). She went on to become an associate in the practice of the late pioneering sex therapist, Helen Singer Kaplan, M.D. and treated severely mentally ill patients at Manhattan Psychiatric Center in the New York State Office of Mental Health. Dr. Bartlik is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and holds additional certifications in integrative medicine from the American Board of Physician Specialties.
