Be Boundless, LLC
I help career women learn how to use their innate gifts to maintain equilibrium and thrive in a disharmonious system.
I am a Holistic Health Coach and attorney who specializes in helping female attorneys and other career women learn how to put themselves first. A client dubbed me her "Wholesome Life Coach."
Almost two decades as an attorney brought me here. Like many of the women I encountered in my field, much of my journey involved the struggle to find balance in my daily existence. We didn’t necessarily express that we were struggling. There was no community of women (that I’m aware of) to trade practical and potentially effective holistic coping mechanisms with.
In February 2020, I gave myself the Valentine's Day gift of leaving my job. This sounds drastic, but I was completely depleted, working increasingly longer hours, and feeling physically, mentally and spiritually ill. My entire being was screaming "GET OUT." I was prompted to get out before and thought changing jobs would help. This time I knew I what had to happen.
I have come to realize it’s not about finding balance. Rather, it’s about acknowledging that our career choices naturally create dissonance between who we truly are and who we are striving to be based on society's expectations. Deep down we know better, but to act on this knowledge we might be considered to be failures. So we deal with high levels of stress, overwhelm, anger, sadness, low self-esteem, decreasing output and other symptoms in our lives, until we find ways to restore harmony through things like self-care and personal growth and development.
I believe that women who can create and maintain harmony in their lives can better manage our stress and overwhelm. This is particularly important given what we are all experiencing in 2020.
I believe that we intuitively know what we need. Sometimes we need a little help figuring out that we know. This is where coaching is beneficial.
I believe that my role as a coach is to be a non-judgmental guide as my clients enlighten, empower and inspire themselves to implement effective lifestyle adjustments and, ultimately, a more harmonious life.
After several years as a stressed out attorney, I started to deal with chronic fatigue due to a combination of physical, mental and spiritual deficiencies. Before then I thought that I was a healthy, happy being who ate a high quality diet and took great care of myself. Once I learned that I wasn't as healthy and happy as I thought and how to become her, I wanted to share my knowledge with other women.
As I explored my options, I came across the term "health coach." That's when I decided to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach.
My clients describe me as kind, professional, knowledgeable and caring.
There are so many reasons that you should work with a health coach.
Health coaches bridge the gap between you and your medical and/or mental health care provider. In fact, doctors, therapists, and even attorneys, collaborate with health coaches to provide the best care for their clients/patients. The health coach follows up with the patients more regularly than their doctor can and ensures that they are following prescribed treatments, answers questions, listens to concerns, and offers support and patience.
These and other benefits are available to you even if you're not working with a health coach through your medical or mental health care provider. Other benefits include:
- Focus on overall wellness;
- Practical tips and recommendations for approaching your specific issue;
- A coaching plan tailored to your needs, abilities, and goals; and
- Motivation to create change in your life in small incremental and impactful changes.
