As someone who naturally exists in their head while still being very sensitive to internal feelings; one of my favorite things about Helen is her ability to connect both with my logic and my heart to release and re-route any necessary thoughts or emotions in order to move forward. Furthermore, she's able to tap into what's going on and get you unstuck even in one conversation. The thing about limiting beliefs is that often times the main ones holding us back are the ones we are not seeing - Helen helps you see them. One specific example is after feeling I made the wrong decision in taking one employment opportunity over another, she helped me see how not only that all was not lost, but got me to take action and surprisingly the door was not closed as I thought it was. Underneath that lesson I was also able to gather deeper wisdom from her how that winning thought process can be applied to other facets of my life. Helen is great!
Helen is one of the most intuitive people I know. She has helped me tremendously in creating and setting boundaries and working through emotional blocks. Her insight has allowed me to work through various relationship struggles and become a more effective communicator. She's helped me immensely in starting my own business and living a life that's in alignment and feels purposeful.

Helen was so constructive in coaching me on how to frame the discussion; I wanted everyone (including myself) to feel seen, heard and respected. It was remarkable because we didn't need to go into detail about the relationship conflicts; Helen taught me there are effective techniques for having difficult but productive conversations, even under highly charged conditions. We can't control other people but we can control ourselves, so I felt so much better to have a compassionate process. Sometimes good intentions aren't enough; what we need are the tools to carry them out effectively.

About me

The more I coach, the more I love it. My favorite part is holding the vision for your life that you want that feels difficult for you to see.

I had been anxious most of my life. I didn't even realize how much this affected me until a medical provider said, "You're an adrenaline junkie, aren't you?" She was referring to the high level of stress hormones wrecking havoc on my organs.

I can coach you because I've been where you are. The racing thoughts, the tight chest, the closed throat–feelings that were an everyday occurrence have become a thing of the past for me. I've tried multiple practices to address stress and anxiety. My go-to ones are meditation, yoga, journaling, and nutrition.

I'm very grateful to noticeably see the difference in my life. From high strung to content today, I recognize the journey you're taking for yourself.

Very much so! Meditation is a space for the rest, digest, and heal part of the nervous system to come online. When we're stressed, that part of the nervous system is shut off. For anxiety, regular meditation practice strengthens our ability to identify racing thoughts and an activated nervous system. To start a meditation practice, begin small. Even just sitting with yourself to breathe in quiet for a minute to start is great. Build up the time you meditate week by week.

Consider each as an approach. Now imagine a situation that you're going through at the moment. First, take a judgment approach. What are the thoughts and opinions that come up in that approach? Write them down. Next, take a curiosity approach. What are the thoughts and opinions that come up in that approach? Write those down. Then compare the two. What differences do you see? How do you feel when you're in each approach? Curiosity is a higher function than judgment and allows for more possibilities and opportunities. Judgement narrows perception.

Yes, there are several things you can do. Great that you're reaching out here. In true honoring of your introversion, start off with noticing your breathing when you're comfortable to do this by yourself. Notice the quality of your breathing. Is it shallow or deep? Are the breaths long or short? Next, if the breaths aren't deep and long, at your own pace, transition your breathing to deeper breaths by breathing in for 2 seconds and breathing out for 3 seconds, then go up to 3 seconds in and 4 seconds out, and finally to 4 seconds in and 6 seconds out. Notice the calm in your body. Notice whatever your mind is doing. When you're in a calmer state, start sharing with yourself what it is about social situations that make you anxious. Write them down and simply notice. Awareness is the first step to allow yourself to make new choices.

Helen is one of the most compassionate people and pharmacist I’ve ever met. Her ability to help you come to your conclusions, through positive inquiry, is truly a gift. Her approach to healthcare is focused on addressing the root causes, using food as medicine and decreasing stress, instead of focusing on treating the condition. This is such a refreshing approach to self care! I would absolutely recommend working with Helen!
