Clinical & Transpersonal Hypnotherapist
A native New Yorker, I grew up in the beautiful city by the sea, Long Beach, Long Island. I lived there until my early twenties when I decided it was time to leave that beautiful beach town, and live in paradise. So I moved to Hawaii. What was supposed to be a 3-month getaway turned into a 2-year adventure. I spent 2 amazing years immersing myself in the culture, hiking, and enjoying the endless summer. As you can probably imagine, Hawaii is an amazing place to live if you love nature, warmth, and simple living. Hawaii is a very magical place, but anyone who has lived there will tell you that when it is time for you to leave, she will let you know; and so she did. From there I moved to California, where I deepened my journey into the field of health and wellness. It was there that I discovered The Institute for Interpersonal Hypnotherapy, one of the only accredited hypnotherapy schools in the nation, as well as one of the few schools state licensed by the board of education. I went on to graduate with over 500 hours of training. Through my own journey with hypnotherapy, I was able to bring to consciousness the deep-rooted beliefs, as well as assumed limitations and self-sabotaging behaviors that were keeping me from reaching my full potential. After a lot of introspection, I was able to truly understand that the dream is but a reflection of the dreamer. Now I am able to bring my awareness to my emotions, beliefs, and thought patterns. To see how they are manifesting in my body and in my reality. It is my goal to help people awaken to their own beliefs, negative thought patterns, and limitations that are negatively impacting their lives. To empower my clients and show them that they are really in the driver’s seat.
Wellness has always been an important aspect of my life. I have been an athlete since childhood, and in my late teens, I discovered yoga. At the same time as discovering yoga, I took an interest in nutrition, herbs, and natural remedies. All of these things became my passions. Everything about holistic wellness felt right, and I knew I wanted my career to revolve around it, but I still wasn't sure how. Eventually, I found myself living in Orange County, working for a brilliant doctor of Integrative and Functional Medicine, as a medical assistant. It was there that I was thoroughly educated in Integrative Nutrition, Environmental Medicine, Functional Medicine, and the Mind-Body connection. This knowledge further solidified my belief in the importance of holistic wellness. Most importantly it showed me firsthand how much pain people were in; physically and mentally. It also showed me just how much the old conventional approach wasn't cutting it. Even though up until then, I had focused on learning the physical aspects of healing, I knew in my gut that wasn't my path; my path was mental and spiritual. I soon discovered Interpersonal Hypnotherapy and knew I found my calling.
After the free 30 min initial consult my clients have their first 2 hr session. This is where we do a very thorough intake bringing to light the emotions, beliefs, and barriers surrounding their issue/ symptoms. We then establish goals and move onto techniques such as, focusing, eye movement therapy, and programming. They leave with a new foundation set in place, and the first layer peeled back.
Hypnotherapy is a combination of life-transforming techniques with a naturally occurring trance state, that is used to obtain personal and spiritual growth, as well as relief from emotional and physical conditions. This state is so natural, in fact, that you actually move in and out of it multiple times a day without even knowing. Hypnosis naturally occurs right before you fall asleep, as well as immediately upon awakening. You may even be familiar with those times when you are driving and you suddenly zone out, only to snap out of it and wonder how you still had control of the car; this is a trance state. When you are in hypnosis you are fully conscious, fully in control, and you will remember everything. Being asleep and being out of control is a misconception. In fact, hypnosis is a state of heightened awareness, and because it's is natural, you might not even realize you are hypnotized.
