Comprehensive homeopathic evaluation and treatment plan.
Many people ask "What is Homeopathy?" Homeopathy is a vast medical science, so it is difficult to summarize. Here is a list of descriptions addressing most questions.
Homoeopathy (it's non-Americanized spelling) means "like cures like." A substance is chosen for its known (or unknown) properties and prepared according to strict homeopathic guidelines, which includes a series of dilutions and succussions (exposure to high gravitational forces). Recent discoveries (See https://homeopathic.com/compelling-facts-figures-scientific-studies-homeopathic-medicine-aka-original-nanomedicine-dana-ullman-mph-cch/) have shown that this process produces unique nanoparticles which cross the blood-brain barrier and even cellular membranes unrestricted. The more series of dilutions and succussions, the more nanoparticles, the higher the potency. This prepared medicine, often called a "remedy", is "proven" by giving the medicine to a group of healthy subjects in a double, or often triple-blinded manner (the volunteer taking the medicine, the homeopath evaluator, and the research team do not know what the original substance/medicine is nor do they know who has placebo or treatment) and recording the various symptoms and "artificial disease" which is produced by the medicine. This data is compiled to find the common and unique symptoms or syndromes the substance reliably produces in healthy individuals. Then, the medicine is used to treat similar symptoms and syndromes in sick people. After consistent and reliable cures (cures lasting more than 2 years) are documented and reviewed (ruling out any other possible source or reason for the cure), then the remedy is listed in the homeopathic repertory and materia medica to use for similar pathological problems. A homeopath focuses on an individual's unique qualities and subjective experience of illness in order to accurately choose a homeopathic medicine which covers the whole person on all levels (physical, mental/emotional, etc.). The homeopathic medicine provides an accurate stimulus to the organism in order to complete a "stuck" or incomplete healing process. Homeopathic prescriptions work because they are highly customized to the individual's circumstance and their broad range of unique characteristics. The definitions of illness and cure are also unique to homeopathy, using holistic methods to decipher illness, using symptoms as a guide to cure, to see how illness moves throughout the body and mind, show how pathology occurs in nature and across multiple generations and populations, and how to appropriately (safely) treat illness and attain wellness without suppressing disease deeper into the organism. Homeopathic medicines work with any type of organism: humans, animals, bacteria, and even plants. It's effects can be felt subjectively or observed and measured in a petri dish. It is an evidence-based science and an FDA-approved form of medicine. Most homeopathic medicines are considered very safe and free of side effects, therefore are offered "over-the-counter." There are many DYI tutorials and books for learning to treat acute conditions like colds, flus, minor infections, injuries, headaches, etc. yourself. Chronic conditions are more complicated and should be treated by a trained homeopath. Homeopathy has its roots in Western traditions and philosophy, but has much in common with eastern medicine.
