SOUND JOURNEYS FOR PEACE, HEALTH, HAPPINESS.
Have you ever seen the movie Slumdog Millionaire? The movie is about a young kid from the slums who ends up on a TV game show, India’s version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” On the show every single question that the game asks leads back to a moment in his life. As if it were his destiny for him to be there at that exact time, every single question falling right into his lap, and all he has to do is visualize the memory of that particular time in his life to answer the questions.
I did this exercise with my life, around the time I got involved with Singing Bowl Healing in January of 2016. When I look back at everything I’ve been involved with from sports, hobbies, friendships, employment, traveling, and hardships. Through all the smiles, laughs, and tears it all adds up to one conclusion. I feel like if I add it up all correctly that life’s events built me, molded me, developed me, refined me, and enlightened me to do this service. It wasn’t an easy road for me to see that, in the winter of 2015 something sparked inside me that I had to work on myself.
I knew of a local psychic who I have seen previously some years back, ironically I still had her business card tucked away deep in my wallet. I called her, set up an appointment and then went to see her in person. We greeted each other and I remember pretty much the first thing I said to her was, “I need somebody to talk to.” Even though my diet was great, work was going okay, my living situation was nice, still something felt off within me. I ended up seeing this psychic multiple visits, I had work to do on myself. I was fully committed to addressing issues that I needed to confront and face. Energy that I was holding inside was clogging my vision, it was handcuffing me. I had to go through a phase of rediscovering myself, it was time to open up the doors of awareness and understanding.
With meditation exercises that the psychic guided me through I was able to refuel my emotional, mental, and spiritual strength. The most potent medicine one could consume is natural medicine and the most natural healing antidote is energy driven from the heart. My heart opened up and it sent a wave of loving energy throughout my body that was able to release any pent-up emotional forces that were weighing me down. The energy shift that I felt allowed me to see life with a new attitude and viewpoint. Light bulbs starting going off with fresh ideas and perspectives when I was in my own space sitting back and thinking.
One night in January of 2016 I was in my kitchen preparing something to eat, strangely enough at one single moment, right then and there it dawned on me. I practically broke down in tears because in that particular moment, I remembered who I was. Within minutes I called my Mom on the phone and told her with no hesitation, “Here’s what I’m doing.”
There was no talk of, “Oh I’m thinking about,” or “I want to try it”. It was with 100% confidence: “This is what I’m going to do.” Over the next few days I jotted down some ideas, all of them revolving around healing and meditation. Over the coming weeks singing bowls came into my life and soon enough I had a small collection of about 5 bowls that I had purchased. I would spend every evening after work practicing playing them.
Getting bored of playing them for myself I asked my next door neighbor to come over because I wanted to try using the bowls now as a tool for mind and body. I had a small 1 bedroom apartment, with just enough room to squeeze her in I asked her just to lie down on the carpet, sit back and relax. Without much thought, I let my actions take the lead and every move I made felt so familiar and natural. Before I knew it I was guiding her through a meditation and taking her thought waves and imagery to a garden placed in a beautiful warming landscape as the back drop for her to visualize where I knew she would feel peace, happiness, and bliss since gardening was a love of her life.
So here I am some years down the road, doing what I like to call Energy Healing. The same idea and technique I used on my neighbor that day has now grown and developed. It’s been refined methodically to the best of my ability and still is a work in progress. However energy healing doesn’t arise from me, it takes effect from (you). So the key here for (you) is to take the same idea I used when referring to the movie Slumdog Millionaire concept and apply it to (your) life. Dial in the technique of analyzing your life as a chain of events that was perfectly meant for you. Life gives the answers. Appreciate the the road and enjoy the destination and within those thoughts and memories you’ll discover your own true Energy Healing.
