Kelly, It took a full year, but the nutrition and lifestyle changes you suggested I make have been achieved. I saw you for nutritional guidance after my doctor diagnosed me with Type 2 diabetes. I was 211lbs, 55 years old, and A1C of 6.5. I’m now 175lbs. and 5.7 A1C. The weight and the blood glucose levels steadily declined throughout the year as I followed the plan you laid out. As you warned me, starting out would be challenging, I was breaking a half century of poor eating habits. It took 4 months to lose the cravings for refined grains, sugars, and processed foods, but somewhere around the 4 month mark those cravings were replaced with a drive to eat whole, healthy foods and my brain began to associate those bad foods with poisons. Once that was set in my brain, progress accelerated and by month 10 I had had my 2nd consecutive A1C reading of 5.7. I’ve felt so much better this year than for the past few years, more energy, focus, and definitely happier. Thank you for helping me.
Dearest Kelly, Any of the past e-mails I have ever sent you before is already a statement to how incredible your expertise is and how amazingly you have been able to make a real, radical difference in my life. If you remember, through my hysterectomy, ovaries removal, highest dosage of estrogens, severe allergic reactions to unknown agents followed by highest and longest dosages of cortisone related prescriptions … slowly my body had gone from my lifetime size 8 to size 16 (while I was not over-eating) causing my self esteem to deteriorate and my physical body to start accusing serious health problems. It was then that my new primary physician, Dr. Vounas, (Internal Medical Center, Auburn) gave me the best advise I could hope for: to come to you. My husband accompanied me to my first appointment with you and we were immediately embraced by your warmth, kindness, and know-how: you carefully listened to both of us, reviewed all my medical records, asked us incredibly wise specific questions on everything related both to our life styles and family habits while explaining scientifically and psychologically what every step meant. Talking to you was fun, energetic, positive and doable: your confidence became ours and in a few months, with your constant reference and advice, I was able to shed more than seventy pounds and regain my former size eight which I am easily maintaining today, three years later! I am seventy years old and, thanks to your precious expertise, feeling younger than ever! One year ago I had to go through a major surgery and you were there with me to monitor my diet before the procedure and on my way to recovery, always lovingly and in the most positive and effective way. I always recommend you to everybody who is struggling in good faith with weight/health related problems. Thank you Kelly again and again from the bottom of my heart!
Hi Kelly, I wanted to thank you for your wonderful help and guidance. I came to you for help as I am 57 and continually kept putting on weight, no matter what I did. Over the last 8 years of so I have tried to reduce my weight by diet and exercise. I would lose up to 5 lbs only to have it creep right back on. This weight just kept creeping on even when I was following a healthy diet and exercise program. I am not a person who sits around or is a couch potato, I am very active everyday with my family, doing all types of activities. That being said I am not a person who goes to the gym or runs daily as I can not seem to keep up with it. I do try and walk, but that is not consistent either. Instead I am a working mom of a family of five which is very busy. After my last physical my doctor asked me what I wanted to do about the weight which was up again to 157 lbs. I would have to begin taking medication for high cholesterol since I could not loose weight. I do not want to start taking medication, so she gave my your name and suggested a consult to see what we could try. I met with you on March 29 to talk about my situation. I was pleasantly surprised with your recommendations and felt they were things I could easily start doing. Your suggestion of cutting my carbs down to 8 15 gram servings a day was simple to keep track of while reading labels the way you showed me. Also given my family history of gluten intolerance beginning around the age of 50-60, I also reduced my gluten as much as possible. I left for Spring break with my family on April 13-25. While on break I tried to do my best while eating out for all meal to stick to the plan. Some days I could others not so much. Here I began to get the wonderful news. I stepped on the public scale to be weighed to go on a helicopter adventure only to have lost 9 lbs!!! I was so excited to say the least! We returned from that wonderful trip and I continued to follow our plan. Yesterday, I went for my yearly gynecological exam and my doctor wanted to know what I had been doing as I had lost 12 lbs from the previous year. I was excited to tell him about you and the recommendations. Thank you so very much. I have lost a total of 15 lbs so far. I also have more energy to do things I love to do with my family. Since summer is now here I can even do more activities and hopefully loose another 10 lbs. You were so understanding of my life with a family and how to work with in it. I will be keeping in touch with you as I continue this journey. I just can’t say thank you enough.

I’ve learned more from Kelly Springer than I EVER could from my doctor. I have lost 50 pounds and my BG levels are consistently under 120 and even under 100 at times!
