I am a Fitness Concierge, which means I can assist you in all of your healthy and fitness needs. I work one on one or in small groups.
I have been a fitness trainer for 25 years, helping people reach whatever their fitness goals may be. Due to Covid-19, I have been training my clients at a local park or in their homes. Over the years I have also integrated more age related exercises and nutritional needs for my older clients, while still providing my effective weight loss and bootcamp style program for even my most athletic and fit clients.
Whatever your need may be, I am capable of addressing it. If I cannot, I will find a professional for you who can. Being a fitness concierge doesn't mean I do it all, it means I can provide it all.
After my 2nd child was born, I went into a deep post-partum depression and put on more weight. 2 years after his birth, I looked in the mirror and my husband asked me if I had stopped caring about my body. Ouch. That struck a cord in me to get some professional help. I found a trainer locally who I connected with and who created a safe, stimulating, varietal based workout plan for me and within 6 months I was in the best shape of my life. I never felt better! He introduced me to Krav Maga, which I feel instantly in love with and began training intensely. Soon I was teaching Krav Maga and my life took a 180 turn to fitness. I began my own outdoor Bootcamp in 2003 called Backyard Bootcamp, where I introduced clients to the beauty of outdoor adventure and nutrition through whole organic foods. In 2008 I opened Topham Street Gym, an indoor adventure, which was the only "green" gym in Los Angeles. Everything was powered by the body, not electricity.
Since then, at age 50 I competed in a National Physique Competition and won 1st place in women over 40. Since then, my primary clientele is women over 40 who want to feel and look their very best.
That would depend on the clients. Someone who is very out of shape may feel exhausted and worked. Someone who is very fit may feel like they were given a new lease on how to do things. It's all subjective and my goal is to always have people leave feeling excited about their next visit.
It's the absolute best way to start making changes to your life. When you begin outlining your goals and prioritizing them on paper, then you will be able to envision them taking form. Whether it's exercise, dieting, meditation, etc., journaling is the #1 first step.
